Could Michigan's Jabrill Peppers drop out of NFL draft's 1st round?

Several of the NFL "experts" are projecting that Jabrill Peppers will be at the end or even out of the 1st RD of the NFL draft. My belief is that after the scouts see him at the combine this won't even be a question. Regardless of position, the freak athleticism alone is worthy of a 1st RD pick. His actual football ability should also be top half of the 1st RD worthy. http://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverine… Could Peppers drop out of draft's 1st round?

The combine could hurt or help Peppers, As has been mentioned, he's going to measure about 5-10.  His 40 time will be huge for him, below 4.4 and he could stick in round 1, above and he might start slipping.  I think he's going to jump well, but I think his shuttle might be not that great.  He's a safety in the NFL, he can't get off blocks well enough to play a normal LB spot, he'll be that hybrid player.

Lewis's size is going to hurt him, but he should go in round 2.

I understand his reasons for coming out early, but I still wish- for his sake- that he'd stayed and been able to develop some skills- especially coverage skills- further.

He'll need to go to a team that can be patient enough to let those skills develop, or a place like NE or Seattle where the head coach has the security and control to design boutique packages that utilize Peppers in certain situations as role player doing things suited to his superb talents.
