Statistically speaking, we gotta win one of these games eventually right?
/not how statistics work
October 13th, 2019 at 12:40 AM ^
It's not how statistics work, but it is how reality works. Surprising things happen.
I VERY much enjoyed NOT being Georgia today.
And I think it wouldn't take nearly as much for us to be next week's S Carolina.
Just keep improving. Better today than yesterday. Better tomorrow than today. And start DCaff.

imagine if college game day had been on the titanic, and lou corso was asked about whether the boat would win, or the ice berg....
October 13th, 2019 at 9:09 AM ^
To be fair, Lou Corso hasn't done very well at picking CFB winners.

When was the last time we won a game the odds makers thought we'd lose? I'm not good at that, could it have been the Wisconsin game when Coach Rod was still at the helm? We got the players to keep us with Penn State, but the coaching and the play making has been missing. I liked what I saw late with the Offense, the Shea we were expecting to see made his presence felt; that drive to take back the momentum and seal the win was desperately needed. If we see that Shea next Saturday, along with the gumption and want-to of Michigan teams of the past, we have a chance. Hell, we have more than a chance; youall remember back in '06 when whupped the Irish 47-21? Smacked them in the mouth, then smacked them again! We need that kind of effort, or cohones, or elan, whatever you want to call it, to pull off an upset. I think we got the personnel to do it, we just really need to have the will to do it, or at least start from there. God willing, we turn this season into a 'high hopes' kind of season starting next weekend.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:15 AM ^
We were ranked ahead of PSU before the season. It's not impossible.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:05 AM ^
PSU scraping out an ugly win over Iowa while being out gained in yardage is just what the doctor ordered for Michigan. Soon to be #7/8 PSU will be fat and happy - waiting to be picked off by a desperate Michigan team. At least that is what this desperate Michigan fan is hoping...
October 13th, 2019 at 2:48 PM ^
If Michigan comes out looking desperate then I’ll eat my shoe. Reality and evidence points to the team looking like Bambi in the headlights on the road.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:17 AM ^
Why...
October 13th, 2019 at 12:17 AM ^
Brutal. Start drinking early and don't stop until Sunday.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
Night game?
on the road?
ranked opponent?
Gameday?
Has there ever been a less likely win? This would be a huge win for the program and the team is talented enough to do it - franklin is also bad enough to shit a win away.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:59 AM ^
When we’re a really good team, I love being part of game day. But for several years now it just feels like we draw more attention to ourselves then shit the bed, which makes it even worse. This environment is gonna suck for our team that doesn’t not show up for big away games. I’ll be surprised if we beat the spread.

Keith Jackson with the greatest intro ever.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:05 AM ^
Keith Jackson is a living legend...
October 13th, 2019 at 9:46 AM ^
And if that doesn’t make you chuckle, you’re reading the wrooooooong blog.
October 13th, 2019 at 8:37 AM ^
Maize pants is clearly the key.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:40 PM ^
That team was stacked.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
They don't have Moorehead anymore, that type of rhymin' and schemin' really screwed with us last time. They don't have a Barkley back there either, that'll help
October 13th, 2019 at 2:24 PM ^
But they’re still at home and road Michigan << home Michigan.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
Last year’s team would win. This year’s... probably not.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:26 AM ^
We definitely don't have the mental fortitude to even keep the game close, unfortunately. And that stems from Harbaugh and the coaches
October 13th, 2019 at 12:26 AM ^
This has 2017 vibes written all over it.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:27 AM ^
I think our D is better than Iowa's, and they did alright tonight.
What if at the time he was concussed, DCaff was being handed the reigns b/c of ball security? What if that's basically still in effect when he comes back, after two more weeks of Shea Butter-fingers™? What if he's confident, makes the right reads, nails all his throws, and goes downfield with regularity?
What if we don't just win but dominate?
A man can dream...
October 13th, 2019 at 12:28 AM ^
Who's Lee Corso going to pick?
October 13th, 2019 at 1:01 AM ^
I would be astonished if it wasn't PSU. I would put money on his pick if I could.
October 13th, 2019 at 8:34 AM ^
October 13th, 2019 at 12:29 AM ^
Great so we get the privilege of being blown the fuck out in front of a national audience. Awesome.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:29 AM ^
After today’s games, I don’t PSU or ND are that great and those are winnable games. They won’t be easy and I’m not saying we win either or both, but both teams look beatable.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:32 AM ^
Funny, but it's back to Alabama as being the only unbeatable looking team.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:55 AM ^
OSU, Oklahoma and LSU all look better than Bama this year.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:56 AM ^
Have tuyo watched OSU? They look pretty freaking scary and unbeatable.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:59 AM ^
Agree. OSU is a fully operational Death Star. They look insane.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:08 AM ^
Thankfully we have them at home this time around.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:09 AM ^
yep...it's a great back to back opportunity on national stage against two all time great programs
Two tough match ups, but winnable games
October 13th, 2019 at 12:34 AM ^
O ye of little faith.
This team can win.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:56 AM ^
Can they? Yes. But I sure as hell wouldn’t bet on it.
That’s not being pessimistic. That’s looking at the six game’s worth of data we have and being realistic.
October 13th, 2019 at 6:21 AM ^
That's fine. I'm not optimistic either really. But so tired of all the bitching on here. "Ermahgerd. Great. So I can watch Michigan get destroyed on the big stage."
October 13th, 2019 at 12:51 AM ^
This team has the talent to win. The mental fortitude, confidence, and focus? Ehhhh....
October 13th, 2019 at 11:45 AM ^
Perkis, your rosters are not that far apart. I wouldn’t feel good about basing my hopes on the current roster Harbaugh has put together.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
I think we'll win, something like 27-20.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:55 AM ^
The O’Neil crew officiated the PSI-Iowa game tonight, so I’m hopeful they won’t get assigned to PSU two weeks in a row.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
That replay crew screwed up 2 calls that were so obvious!!! praying they aren't at ped state!!
October 13th, 2019 at 1:00 AM ^
I was really hoping that Shaka Toney would've been called for targeting in their game against Iowa. That would've helped us.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:02 AM ^
should have been!
October 13th, 2019 at 1:02 AM ^
It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine
All these people whining are missing out on the fun. Here comes the real season.
October 13th, 2019 at 4:59 AM ^
I gotta give you credit (assuming this comment isn’t in jest), as outside of a few moments in the first quarter against Iowa, I’m not sure I’ve had ANY fun this season and it’s halfway through. I usually have a blast but this team has been exhausting, frustrating, depressing, etc.
I’d sure love something enjoyable from this team.
October 13th, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
it's been the same for me this year.... but I think I turned the corner reading this week's snowflakes thread. the negativity is out of proportion.
We have an opportunity this week and I want to enjoy the process of getting excited for a big game
October 13th, 2019 at 1:06 AM ^
If we just play a sound game on both sides of the ball and make logical play calling decisions then there is no reason we can't win at PSU. We rested a bunch of guys today and hopefully we are mostly healed for next Saturday. Our season goals are still there on the table for the taking.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:14 AM ^
2nd most important game of the year now that MSU is tanking. Right back in the hunt if we win this week
Not looking good to beat OSU, but hell it's at home and there's a lot of football left
October 13th, 2019 at 1:06 AM ^
Well, we beat them there in 2015. The last time they beat us our QB was John O'Korn, their OC was a wizard, and they had one of the best RB's I've ever seen.
After watching them play Iowa I like our chances a lot more than I did yesterday.
