Coach Wheatley: #1 Recruiter in the Country!

Submitted by AlaskanYeti on

Over at 247 Sports, coach Tyrone Wheatley is now ranked as the #1 recruiter.

Link? Link

Partridge at #9, Drevno at #51, Brown at #86, Mattison at # 98, Fisch #113.

The ranking system doesn't make any sense to me, but it's obvious that OSU recruiting is inferior to UM's. Luke Fickel and Zach Smith both ranked #421 with ZERO points! Chode juggling slackers...

When Mchigan was going 10-2-1 against John Cooper, OSU was sick of losing, too.  It''s cyclical.  Though it would be a lot better for Michigan fans if the NCAA allowed players to take money from whoever wants to give it to them.  The most impressive feature of what Harbaugh is doing is that he is playing clean and is gettintg results that are up there with the dirtiest programs in the NCAA.

Anyway, I think we are going to see results on the field as early as this year.

No, it's not. The fact that teams periodically have lengthy winning streaks doesn't make it cyclical. Last year's score (in any given season) has no relevance to this year's game.

Let's be realistic though, if Tressel or Meyer was coaching some of those Cooper teams there is no way we go 10-2.  OSU had some insane talent on many of those teams.

And just as importantly, Carr really picked the wrong time to end Novembers badly. The first two teams Tressel put on the field shouldn't have posed a problem and Lloyd, despite knowing this, allowed Tresel to outprepare his squads. I think after about the third one, a game L.C. used to look forward to didn't seem so attractive any longer. Even after the debacle against State this year, Urb knew the importance of holding volley. He did a great job. Might not have been possible if not for that State game though.

Yeah but look at who they are getting. They are getting athletically talented thugs that don't want to and cant play school. Urban jumped the complacent players, got them to leave and now is selling the NFL draft. That's the only reason his class is good. It'll be interesting to watch all of the great wide-receivers of theirs flop at the next level. Not to mention the other positon players that won't be playing because they cant make bail. LMFAO

That if the state of Michigan had just as much talent as the state of Ohio than UM would beat OSU year in and year out . UM has to land their talent from all over the country and the first thing the kid has to say is distance is not a factor and actually mean it. For UM to even be close in the ranking says a lot IMHO.

Sparty can't catch him!

The Hawkeyes?  No chance!

Huskies doo?  Huskies DON'T!

Irish?   uhhh....NO!

And Ohio State?  Although I couldn't find any images of Wheatley running wild vs. the Buckeyes, this guy's face:

...shows the typical frustration of watching his team miss tackles and EAT TYRONE WHEATLEY'S DUST!

I am pretty sure Tyrone Wheatley more than earned some of the premium Glengarry leads in his time at Michigan. Others may have wanted them, some even desperately, but Wheatley definitely earned them. That undoubtedly came with a fair amount of coffee as well, although being that it was college football, I am not sure how Mamet would have made the car mesh with NCAA rules.
