Chief Justice John Roberts @ UM v. ND
In case you missed the Daily this morning, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts accepted Michigan Football tickets in exchange for a visit to the Law School's 150th Anniversary event.
Here's the article:

It was also picked up by the WSJ Law Blog:

Best quote:
“I recognize that you receive many more invitations to visit law schools than you can possibly accept,” Carminker wrote in the letter, "but I daresay that Michigan Law can offer something no other law school can: a seat at midfield in the Big House!”

I was about to make this exact joke and you wrote it 1 min before me...dammit. Oh well, maybe this recruit can help shore up our legal team which seems to be lacking of late.... :)

is a good recruit. Unranked slot receiver. We need more of those.

I love that. UM is a terrific law school on its own merit as well.

He grew up as a Roman Catholic in northern Indiana and attended Notre Dame Elementary School...I doubt he will be rooting for us. Is their a Chief Justice in attendance curse? I think so, cause his team is going down hard.

He visited ND Law last year for the Michigan/ND game.
I met him after he spoke, and he made fun of me for being a Michigan fan.
Fun facts: he's maybe 5'7".

Would love to see him say some pro-Blue words at halftime, like Mike Wallace did a couple years ago during homecoming. But, as was stated above, he grew up in northern Indiana.
Then again, I'd also love to do a kegstand with him during a tailgate.

Or so he told us.
(See above comment, wherein the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court mocked me publicly for my Michigan loyalty).

It's times like this I'm glad I didn't go to law school. I'm just glad you didn't refer to him as, "Roberts, C.J."

From Hence forth, without being too disrespectful to the Chief Justice, I shall refer to him as
"Oral Roberts" for making fun of UM loyalty.
