CC: Ben McDaniels expected out after contract expires
Quarterbacks coach Ben McDaniels has apparently been informed that his tenure at Michigan has come to an end as his contract will not be renewed.
"According to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider (VIP), quarterbacks coach Ben McDaniels has been informed that he won’t be returning in 2021 with his contract expiring soon. McDaniels, the younger brother of New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, has been at Michigan since joining the staff as an offensive analyst in 2018. In 2019, McDaniels was promoted to the role of quarterbacks coach."

I know we have had many threads today focused on the CC subject, but this is newsworthy as it provides concrete support to the speculation around McDaniels being out after this season.

Brown and out?

Brown out. Good description of the energy output of the defense the last few years.

I had some brown come out watching Michigan’s defense in 2020.

Are you referencing an emotional state or a route our cornerbacks can't cover?

If you mean someone who slaps their shoulder pads before the game....you’re in luck.
I’m dangerously close to clicking on the ad for “the 29 hottest weather girls”. My browser knows me so well. I love the weather.

Would that make you a fair weather fan?

Josh Gattis should be out as well.
January 8th, 2021 at 1:18 PM ^
Didn't he say when he started that he was only going to be here for two years anyways? That's the rumor I remember.
January 8th, 2021 at 2:21 PM ^
Correct, I think it was Gattis’ home alarm system guy that was quoted on here saying he would only be here for 2 years.
January 8th, 2021 at 1:24 PM ^
Gattis is the only reason Giles Jackson and Xavier Worthy will be on the team next year.
January 8th, 2021 at 1:48 PM ^
Why, it seems unlikely it's his idea to run as few plays as possible?
January 8th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
Patterson got worse year 1 to year 2.
Milton got worse game 1 on.
Apparently not big in McCarthy’s recruitment.
So yeah, bye.

Alright please tell me we can find a good QB coach?
January 8th, 2021 at 2:09 PM ^
okay, i'm old, and my brain isn't as elastic as it used to be, and i'm also not down with all the abbreviations and tiktoks and whatnot, but what is CC? i saw a DCC regarding mike macdonald, and assumed that stood for "defensive coordinator candidate," but maybe not?
January 8th, 2021 at 2:15 PM ^
Coaching change or coaching candidate.
January 8th, 2021 at 2:16 PM ^
Haha. I'm assuming CC=Coaching Change. But DCC doesn't make sense in the context being used (Defensive Coordinator). I would have expected it to be DCCC. But hey, it's the internet so crap like BPONE makes sense to some.

so, so tired of this acronym crapola...they make me want to WITO.

LOL. Since when is a "rumor" concrete support!? FFS, it says RUMOR right in the URL!

How about you read the quote from the article...

I dare anyone to pick Ben out of a lineup, much less name a single thing McDaniels be accomplished in his entire tenure here.
