Is Carr responsible for the away jerseys?

From Luke Winn at SI.com:

"Rule No. 1 in football jersey design: The classics should never be significantly edited. Before he left, Lloyd Carr signed off on new road duds with yellow accents, which ironically happen to give off a very West Virginia vibe."

So, is this Carr's fault?  It seems an odd choice for him.

Yes it was the previous staff. One of the MGoBlue season preview videos goes over the whole thing. Also, Luke is confused the away jersey changes often at Michigan it is the home jersey that does not.

Whoops, sorry I missed that.  I'd never heard before that it was the previous staff.  And, yes, I know the away jersey regularly changes.  This just seems like a greater departure than Lloyd would approve.  Oh, well.

Tremendous comment by Jeff, who is a tremendous young man...as good as we have had.

Thanks for that Jeff; I remember having entire conversations in "lloyd speak" with my friends back during undergrad...tremendous indeed.
