The Capron crew is officiating the NC game

Submitted by You Only Live Twice on

Did I hear this correctly?  The crew that swung our game in Columbus last year is officating the CFB championship??

At least there's no reason for bias since OSU isn't involved.   Still, how did Delaney get these guys into this game?  How much influence does he have, or is there some unbiased process?

The crew that did the 2016 OSU game was Capron - Woods - Wiercinski - Bolinger - Schwarzel - Terry - Sagers - Durbin.  The crew doing this game is Capron - Feaster - Dolce - Holt - Edwards - Smith - Hayes - Stumberg.  The only person in common is Dan Capron.

Big Ten officials are assigned to the championship game because the championship game always uses officials from a conference that didn't make the playoffs.  Since Big Ten & Pac Twelve are the two conferences that didn't make the playoff, and the Pac Twelve has done the championship game more recently, the Big Ten got the right to assign a crew to this game.

at least there doesn't seem to be the same level of outrage watching them.

Speaking of outrage, Najee Harris just broke out for a couple of runs.

I’m sure justice will prevail and ESPN will write a critical piece about these refs.

I’m kidding. Why would they undercut their multi-billion dollar investment! Also, college players shouldn’t be paid (heavy sarcasm).
