Actually, I was Brian Carpenter and the 1980 Team while author John Kryk was Harbaugh and the 1985 Team. Yes, Kryk should have run the ball, but once again that 1980 Defense was underestimated by their competition. There was a reason Ufer called them McCartney's Monsters! Wrap your collective heads around this: the Michigan Defense was the #1 defensive unit for the ENTIRE DECADE OF THE 1970s for the following: Points Allowed Per Game (8.04), Yards Rushing Per Game (106.6) and Total Yards Per Game (226.3). THAT is amazing! I expound on Mac's Six-Penny Defense in this year's Hail To The Victors magazine if you want to know the rest of the story...

Just. Plain. Awesome. Thanks for putting that together, it brought tears of joy and happiness as I listened to it several times. UFER was so unique and the best ever, I feel lucky to have listened for so many years to his live PBP descriptions of the team, the school, the sport he so loved.

I reply because we have the right to free speech. Why don't you reply to my
previous statements re Glenn S's record e.g. 5 w 12 losses in bowl games, no NC's, the team, the team, the team man who left the team to go to the Tigers. The facts, the facts, the facts tell the true story about this guy.
