A bit of my rambling on an OSU board

Submitted by Braylon1 on

Michigan was 5 yards away from being within 4 points of OSU late in the 4th quarter last season.

you can talk a lot about how OSU pulled back at times last year, and you would be right.

at the same time, wasnt Michigan missing its 2 best offensive players in Brandon Minor and David Molk? didnt their freshmen QB turn the ball over 5 times, and once inside your 10, and another time driving on OSU, and another time inside their own 5 giving away a touchdown?

The Game was a lot closer than people would like to make it out to be.

after reading this post, do you think the Michigan team that lost by 11 points to you guys had half the talent of the 2004 Michigan team? you know, the team that had BCS bowl talent, was superior to OSU, and got blown out by 14 points against OSU? what about the 2007 Michigan team? you know, the team that lost to OSU 2 touchdowns to OSU.

hell, ill take that much competitiveness from such a young and inferior Michigan team vs OSU every day. next year, for the first time since Rich Rodriguez was hired in 2+ years, we're going to see someone other than a freshmen/walk-on take snaps @ Michigan. im excited.

I sometimes forget how close that game was all things considered.

We definitely saw some things to be excited about in the future despite some of the poor play that day.

I just hope RR does the same thing and finds a way to hang with them next season and potentially surprise, because im getting sick dealing with these Buckeye fans in Ohio.

That the tradition of the negbang still exists despite the changes.  I am a bit disappointed to see how easily some of you were lured by some very obvious trolling, though.  If it looks too good to be true (misspelling maize and players' names, using the words "Dick Fraud" or  "Sparty"), it's probably too good to be true.

Outside the Big Ten sphere of influence, I've found that the M gear is usually greated with a favorable response, normally alums or M fans will say Go Blue, or an occasional OSU fan will make himself known with some unimaginative comment. Though Big Ten usually sticks together. Used to live in Virginia, and ACC football is just painful to watch. A Saturday afternoon watching Virginia Tech play NC State? I'll choose mowing the lawn.

Last year is still going down as a loss..... close or not.  This year we have a chance to do something about it and the CTK videos and practice updates are more than enough to keep me away from playing the what-if games from last year.
