Schedule...with the Maui Tourney, NC, UCLA and Texas we should have a very good SOS by seasons end...

Playing the defending champs on the road isn't easy, but it's best to play them early.

1. They lost a ton of talent.
2. They are not a good defensive team.
3. Wagner should be a matchup nightmare for whatever young big they play.
4. Their crowd is not intimidating.  Dickie V always called them a "wine-and-cheese" crowd.

I'd definitely rather play at UNC instead of at Duke.

I believe you're thinking of Sam Cassell, as Dickie V usually gives UNC's crowds a good rating. That was just sort of a random press conference thing, similar to the Illinois dude's "white collar" remark. Thad Matta notably said "I think I've never been in a building that was as loud as that building was at times" after a game that OSU had here, and Jim Calhoun commented "I don't know what they are talking about because there was no 'wine and cheese' crowd here today." after one of UCONN's games. It's definitely not as crazy as Rupp or Allen Fieldhouse, but against any semi major team I'd say that it's false to call the crowd "not intimidating."

Unless they get blown out by 20+, Michigan goes into that game playing with house money. No one expects them to win, so all the pressure is on UNC to "take care of business."

If they keep it close, that's still a close loss on the road to the defending national champions. Still a good tournament booster. Who knows, maybe UNC gets caught looking ahead and Wagner has a Louisville-esque game. Stranger things have happened in this game.
