Assuming Harbaugh Stays, Who can we get for DC

So,

The pipe dream of replacing Harbaugh with Urbz is probably not happening, and unlikely Warde puts any pressure on Harbaugh to leave.  Assuming Jim sticks around, I'm in the camp that the offense has seemingly evolved under Gattis - recruiting more speed and trying to adapt to the modern game. So Gattis getting some more time seems fair.

Don Brown, however, is a fucking disaster.  He plays one base defense and if we don't have 2 all-american cornerbacks, let alone a dominant D-line, we get exploited every single year against an offense with a pulse...and this year, against fucking trash Sparty.  When he installed zone/brackets coverage last year (after 4 years of all man schemes), it was treated as some sort of cancer curing level achievement, when everywhere else, it's just a base coverage all teams learn as part of their overall scheme.  This doesn't even account for his moronic riverboat gambling zero blitzes on 3rd and long, lining up our LB's or SS against the opposing team's fastest slot receivers.

Obviously, Venables ain't coming here for a lateral move, so we should probably put that to rest. Clearly shit really hit the fan when turncoat Mattison left.

So....

Who you got for our next Defensive Coordinator?

The loss to Michigan State was on the offense in my opinion.  We have had some super stellar crap D games against OSU but when you hold a team to 27 points or under it should be enough to win a majority of games, see Clemson, Alabama, Ohio St etc.  Per typically we just need consistent good production from the offense and we are good.  We have to score points, period.  It can't always be the D saving us.

Some of those throws (unfortunately) from the Sparty QB were so good (dropped it right in there over head) that not many could defend that. Also with that completion (which was really not complete - ball hit the ground and didn't get reviewed) towards the end of the game that let them drive the field means they only scored 20 points.  We for sure should have won that but our offense was a dud.  Uuugh

If we had to get a new DC I would say you LEAVE Don Brown in charge as the DC and have him be the head coach!  Sure call me crazy but Don does put some fire into his guys.  A lack of FIRE is what I see in the entire team but mainly on offense.  Winovich had it and we need more players with a burning fire to want to beat people and who hate to lose. His defense is very good season to season the offense needs to be able to score far more often instead of making it the D's mission to save games.
