See, I never just did things just to do them. Come on, what am I gonna do? Just all of a sudden jump up and grind my feet on somebody's logo like it's something to do? Come on. I got a little more sense then that ...Yeah, I remember grinding my feet on Sparty's logo.

I don't think the pre-game vs post-game mattered much. And I am guessing more of the crowd saw that than a small spike that would be impossible to see from the stands. And most of the crowd is  amazingly still there.

The big difference is one team won and one lost. The winner gets to write the narrative. If Michigan had won that game, I doubt you would have heard a peep from MSU about the stake. The narrative from last year's game about Devin Bush would have been much different if Michigan had lost.

While I don't disagree, there is this; we're just being colloquial.

Sparky the Sun Devil is the official mascot of Arizona State University. ... Two years later, alumnus and Disney illustrator Bert Anthony designed "Sparky," a devil holding a trident (colloquially referred to as a pitchfork).

I remember that we had a fan whining about the tent stake was a weapon that Hoke's team put in their grass...ASU put a literal trident in the ground.

Anyways, MSU will never forgive ASU for such disrespect.

Not gonna lie I got goosebumps watching the whole team jump and land at the same time as the guy planting the trident. That was a really cool moment made even better that it happened at Sparty's expense.
