Not yet. How does it compare to the football version? The coach is often the star - is he dynamic and insane?
I honestly like it better thus far. 3 episodes in, and the coach really cares for these kids. He is a really good dude, and it shows you how hard it is balancing discipline and punishment without losing todays kids. When I was young, there is no way my coaches would have put up with some of this crap.

My family and I are slowly working our way through the football series. Now on season 3. It was interesting when a couple of former Michigan players got some screen time...I had forgotten about Brian Cole and Kingston Davis transferring to Juco's.
I'm very much looking forward to the basketball series.

OT from this topic but has anyone else been watching Resident Alien on syfy?
It's about 7 or 8 episodes in and it's friggin' hilarious with good writing. If you can go back and watch from beginning, I highly recommend it.
I was going to watch it on Hulu at a friend's suggestion only to find out it's limited to only Hulu Live subscribers which I thought was weird.
That's just stupid and effed up, maybe syfy will run the whole season back before the season finale. If not, maybe one of the streamers will run it eventually.

Watched it all yesterday. I won't spoil the ending but it's a crazy ride. It constantly amazes me how certain ultra-talented guys will throw away their whole future by having temper tantrums. Also, it struck me that these dudes never think they foul even when they clearly foul every time.
That's every basketball player that's ever player. (The foul thing)
Most of them I'm talking about are entirely obvious fouls that they then bitch and moan to the refs about and in some cases completely leave the game and throw a fit in the locker room over (while the game is ongoing).

I had to bail on the second (I think) football iteration.. The constant barrage of f-bombs from the coaching staff was insane. I just couldn't watch that without thinking "why are we idolizing a dick like this."
Mosely (the hoops Last Chance U coach) is awesome. He has some temper tantrums, but never swears and clearly cares about the kids more than his name. The kind of coach that is both successful and one that players will love. A JUCO Juwan.
