That just means that ND will be getting another commit soon.  Whether it be Williams or Walker.  Seriously, something is in the water right now in South Bend.

Yeah. I think Walker may have already told the osu staff he is out and waiting until after he has a high school game in Ohio to make it public. Which is next weekend.

... it's transparent, it's fair, and it's decisive.  in the long run, it's what you need.  I'm sure the way the OSU coaching staff phrased it is much more tactful than the way we represent it as an "ultimatum".  Probably more like, "we understand you feel uncertainty. The RB position is critical for us and we think your our guy.  But if you aren't committed 100%, we need to have a plan B because it is such a critical position for us.  Think it over and lets chat tomorrow. Now excuse me, I need to eat some Domino's Pizza."

He's a stud.  I don't mind losing Walker and replacing him with this kid if it does happen.  His highlights look like Nick Chubb 2.0.

Before the start of his senior season he already amassed 6,400 rushing yards and 69 TDs.

So far in his senior season he's 8 yards shy of 2,000 yards through 7 games with 26 TDs.

So career wise, 8,400 yards rushing and 95 TDs with more games left to play.

With an offer list consisting of: Bama, Auburn, tOSU, Wisky, Clemson, MSU, UGA, ND, PSU, Tenn among others.

Good get for you guys though if you do indeed land Walker.  Glad you guys are "back" going to make "The Game" that much more exciting for years to come.

Congrats on your -67 mgo points.

That said, if both GA and WI are recruiting a rb I take notice.  Outside of Bama who gets ALL of the running backs, I can't think of 2 programs who have a better eye for talent at the position.

This is not Fournette we are talking about so the difference between being rated #1 and #6 rb doesn't mean much so it will be interesting if they land at OSU v UM how the 2 careers play out.

p.s. I was looking at Damien Harris' early career at Bama and its not very inspiring considering the talent he has around him.   Esp since elite rbs usually shine immediately.

Non-commitable offers are legit and tOSU does do that.  They're more so insurance policies if they were to eventually lose out on a recruit and or have one decommitt then they have the offers out there to players who are waiting to hear if they can commit or not.

Obviously, Walker doesn't fall under this category nor does any big time prospect.  Usually it'll be some underrated prospect, most likely from Ohio that's waiting to have a commitable offer and if tOSU strikes out with prospects higher on their board (as I'm sure other colleges do this as well) then they'll go ahead and let said recruit commit.

Whatever they call it, he's probably right that every OSU "offer" you see ticked on Rivals does not mean an "offer" as you and I define the term.  I don't see why he was negged.

I think it goes something like this:

--Kareem Walker (OSU commit) visited Michigan last week, and there seems to be a decent chance that we flip him

--OSU was reported to be in contact with UW commit Antonio Williams after Walker's visit to UM

--Urbz was rumored to have given Walker an ultimatum (initially thought to be 24 hours, but MGoFish later backed off that timeline) to either cancel his remaining visits and reaffirm his commitment, or else.

--Williams decommits from UW.

A Michigan-colored-glasses reading of these events would be that Walker refused to reaffirm, OSU no longer considers him a commit, and has offered his spot to Williams, with Walker potentially flipping to Michigan in the near future.

Kareem Walker, the number one ranked RB in the country and current Ohio State commit, took an official visit to Michigan last weekend. This, according to Michigan insiders, resulted in Urban giving the kid an ultimatum- either stop taking visits or consider your offer pulled. The ultimatum, according to Ohio State insiders and Walker's high school coach, was never given. After learning that Kareem was going to visit Michigan, Ohio State reached out again to Antonio Williams- a Wisconsin commit at the time. Williams is now visiting OSU this weekend and seems to be trending S&G, especially after decommitting from Wisconsin this afternoon. I would imagine Williams ends up in Columbus if Walker decommits. And Williams' decommittment certainly seems like a good thing for Michigan.

Kareem Walker had planned a visit at the good guys last weekend that he reportedly tried to keep under wraps. It came out on Thursday/Friday, he still came, had a blast. Then OSU reportedly warmed up to williams as either a safety net or to make a point. Then a rumor came out that urban said he could not take any more official visits (Kareem walker) so he had 24 hrs to cancel all of them. Kareem came out with a note saying he just went to visit friends. Partridge took shot at OSU for being wimps. Then Williams the hot new OSU item de commits signifiyibg good things for the good guys
