I do wonder if we might see one or two guys enter the portal and then decide to come back.

The grass isn't always greener elsewhere and the bags aren't always fatter.

Well, this is crappy.  I kinda get it, he couldn't get on the field this year and will be behind a couple others next year.  But maybe give yourself a chance to compete for a defense you know will be swapping players regularly each game.

Sure, I guess he probably would have been a starring piece at ND this year.  But he wouldn't have sniffed a National Championship, either...

Shoulda kept him on offense, never seemed to come close to being playable on defense. It always seemed like a pipe dream that he'd turn into a stud corner for us, I think we have a lot of young dbs that are more likely to pan out. Still sad he left though!

I'm not worried about losing Walker, if he was good enough to play more he would have.  Good luck to him unless we face him.

Our WR room will be fine as well.

People need to stop being worry warts.

Not a surprise.  He's a Louisiana kid and I am sure the transition to Michigan can be jarring especially if things on the field aren't quite going the way you want them to.  Homesickness can be rough, especially in the late teens/early twenties.

Looks like he did what was asked of him and got a national championship to boot.  If he wants to go somewhere closer to home where there's a more sure path to the field more power to him.
