Ambry Thomas Appreciation Post

Submitted by realblue on October 6th, 2019 at 4:04 PM

Just happened to be looking at team and individual stats for this season...

And man, what a season Ambry Thomas is having. We all know what he went thru this offseason, and for him to come back better than ever, without even missing a game, has been very impressive.

He's already got 2 TFL, 2 INT and 2 FR.

He's had his hand in 4 takeaways already, just 5 games into the season. Ambry "Ball Hawk" Thomas, ladies and gentlemen.

Also of note:

Aidan Hutchinson already has 3 FF

Kwity Paye 4.5 sacks

Jordan Glasgow 4 sacks

Lavert Hill 2 INT

Let-down @Wisc aside, the defense has some real playmakers and it's showing up on film and in the box score ?〽️

I think that was more neccessary last year than it is this year. I believe M has the explosive WRs but the QB isn't getting them the ball and/or OC isn't calling explosive type plays.

Even beyond the stats, Ambry is passing the eye test.  Making plays in coverage and run support.

I was happy to see Glasgow have a good game after a rough outing last week.

Dwumfour had a great game

We should have more happiness about the defense than all complaining about the offense that's going on.  We just beat a good team and our defense brought it, giving up 1.5 points in our current win streak.

Offensive struggles is all about our QB's ability to read.  Give it a chance and be happy we just had our best win of the year

Ambry's been a remarkable performer this season.  Quite a testament to his determination overcome a serious illness.  Love seeing him playing so well on the field after what he has been through.

Played like a TRUELY Free Man along w/ the rest of the D.

This Defense is a different  w/ Cam and getting Mike Dwumfour back on the DL. Watching live both seemed very disruptive yesterday.
