Do other high school students really attend or get excited about these announcements? I imagine I'd be rolling my eyes if some kid back in high school tried to put together a big assembly to announce his college choice.

They wouldn't do this if other kids didn't attend. Many probably do this because other kids want or even request it. Big-time recruits are the stars of their schools. The average high school student can't exactly get Harbaugh, and Saban, and Meyer to show up at the cafeteria or attention from ESPN.

This kid looked REALLY impressive at OSU's camp last month, especially on the deep ball. Here's the video:

Nice clip! He gets good separation, didn't use his body to catch passes and looks like a good route runner.

I went on 247 Sports and their crystal ball is 96% Michigan, 4% Rutgers. Wasn't he deciding between M and OSU?
