Tyreke Smith suuuuuuuuuucked.  Like the only time he bothered to maintain outside leverage was to honor potential McNamara keeps.  If it was a straight handoff he collapsed inside immediately and Steuber could just go hunt for a LB because he ran himself right out of the play.  Hypothetical OSU Seth would have him for like -12 on the day I think.

EDIT: Maybe not, because he got his ass benched

So many takeaways from the game. But watching this what jumps out is the QB play.

Cade was very good when he needed to be. His statline doesn’t look like Strouds but when he was asked to throw it was usually when they needed a completion and he made those throws.

While this has been called a Harbaugh style win for a lot of reasons nobody has mentioned that he managed 2 QBs similar to how he did in SF. Cade and JJ worked together all season especially well this game.

Some observations:

1) The Duo called for Haskins' 4th TD; I don't think OSU's linebackers played that properly.

2) Final drive: 1st 10 @ 12:35. Simple draw that's designed to go behind All inserting?

3) Same drive: 2nd & 4 @ 12:43. Split flow that Hassan cuts back?

This I think was the final blow. The 1st down puts OSU in an untenable clock situation. You can tell before the snap that no one thinks All is going to run a pattern. Depending on how you draw "the box", OSU has at least 6 with 2 more either in or on the edge of the box. All entering makes for 7 blockers. As usual 76 has to deal with a guy screaming across his face looking to squeeze. Yet it all ends up working out. How/why did this work out for us?

I'd rather someone explain this to me now than wait for Seth. I'm also trying to spend more time reliving this awesomeness rather than doing useful work around the house on a non-Lions day.
