Film Analysis Ep 4.1 - Rutgers - Offensive Success

Hi all! Think we can all agree that this was a much needed Rutgers-thrashing. While the offense did do well (through the air, at least), it's important to take this analysis with a grain of salt and then some. Rutgers is BAD bad. Failed to make any sort of adjustments to the continuous PA Waggle/Boot action Michigan continually found success on.

Regardless, it was good to see the offense doing the whole "give it to our platoon of NFL WRs" thing. I have 17 plays in this episode.

Also, note that I won't have any analysis for the Iowa game, as I'm currently typing this from Barcelona and will be in Prague / Budapest for the game against the Hawkeyes. Furthermore, no notes for each play on this one. I will list the down / distance / outcome for each play, if interested.

Enjoy!

Great stuff as always! I've been playing around with some analyses of the UFR data relative to national databases of WRs and yeah, passes to our "platoon of NFL WRs" is something we need to keep doing at a high rate. Like if you extrapolate our WR stats to a full season, the yards/target, catch rate, and success rate for those 4 players (Collins, Black, DPJ, and Bell) would put all of them in the top-40 for WRs in the country, with Collins and Black both top-10 WRs. That's an embarrassment of riches that needs to be taken full advantage of.
