OT - Michigan Cycling Team Kit Order
Hey all, there has been interest in these orders before, so I'm posting this on behalf of the club.
The Michigan Cycling team is a Club Sport who competes in the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference. Other teams in our conference include MSU, OSU, Notre Dame, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, Case Western, Louisville, Northwestern, Cincinatti, Marquette, Miami (NTM), and a bevy of other small schools. Our conference also features a few schools that consider cycling a varsity sport including Marian and Lindenwood.
The kit order is once again live and this year they're added a couple more options.
These are the same exact uniforms that the team is currently racing in.
More information about the team can be found here: http://www.umcycling.org/
Prices do tend to run a bit high, but such is the nature of being a small fish in the big pond of paying university royalties and the like. Any proceeds go towards helping get team member's to races and most importantly nationals.
The order closes on April 11th, and the kits will be delivered to you in mid May.
Please note that because this is a custom order, there is no returns.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
You should change your handle to XtraSizzle because that is smoking hot gear. I a little too, um, fat at the moment for spandex but...soon.

I was a little dismayed at the purplish color, but I bought it more thinking I would frame it vs wear it. Shocked that they sent out free replacements. I coud see where the team would not want to be riding aroung in Minnesota Vikings colors.
It's actually not that expensive.
I picked up a full kit a 2 years ago, it 's great. But the design this year, just not my thing.
For anyone wondering about sizing, just get a tape measure and follow the sizing charts.

Last year I almost pulled the trigger but decided against it. My brother got a kit and like ST3 above, he got a new one because the color was off. he was a happy camper. Did say the chamois was not the best for what its worth.
The vast majority of people I see in cycle unis look like this:
I don't think I gave you permission to use that photo. It takes a lot of energy to move that much mass. Can you imagine the wind resistance if he were wearing something more flowing? Give the guy (and every other fat person out there wearing cycling gear) some credit eh?
But unless they're using clips, not tennies like this fella, they're only weekend/once a month/once a year riders!
Anyone on the forum use Zwift? My brother got me on it in January 2017. It's helped me lose 35 pounds and counting. But also gave me some health problems that I have to manage. Still since then I ridden 2,400 miles on Zwift and more outside. Biking is such a fun sport.
I use a Wahoo Kickr Version 2. Wish I didn't have to upgrade to Version3 to get the Kickr Climb. Would love that.
I mention Zwift because today they released Alpe Du Zwift which is a mirror of the famous Alpe D'Huez climb that the Tour de France typically rides every 2nd or 3rd year. 7.8 milies at an average gradient of 8.3% with 1034 meters or 3394 feet of climbing.
This is about 2km shorter than the Tour version, but still, all I see is pain coming this weekend!
Ride On!
I bought during the fall one and love the gear I got. As mentioned the blue came out purple but the company sent replacements.
