META - Anybody else having issues recently with malware when on site?
In the past two days I've had three instances where I'm reading a post (today it was Julian's farewell to the board) and suddenly MGoBlog disappears and in its place I've got an exciting offer from Time Warner or some other such garbage. This is happening on my very well protected work computer (shhhhh.....) so I'm wondering if there's isnt some sort of malicious code embedded here cause it's only happening to me when on MGoBlog and none of the other websites I visit when I'm pretending to work.
FYI I've run Malwarebytes immediately after this happens and each time it finds something and quarantines it so I know there is an issue in one of the sites I have open but the only constant is I'm on MGoBlog when it occurs. Anybody else having this problem recently?

Have not received any popups or Adware attacks viewing the site on Opera, however i have noticed the problems on the same computer running Chrome. I rarely use Chrome.

I did on mobile Chrome. I recently deleted an app and since the ads have disappeared. SInce the site is unencrpyted, I think the app was doing a man in the middle attack and injecting the bad ad.

Android phone.
It has been happening for about 3 weeks. Very annoying.

I think the site might be infected with some kind of adware bug. The counter of how many ads the adblocker has blocked on one page just kept ticking up. I refreshed the page when it got to over 2000 ads. It hasn't happened again, but that might be an issue.

It just happened to me again (a malware takeover.) For some reason, if I have mgoblog open for a long time and am not doing anything actively with it (not opening pages, or scrolling, or anything . . . it just is sitting open,) malware pops up, with all the dire warnings, which I completely ignore and just exit out of the internet.

Just happened to me 2 minutes ago. This computer is 1 month old and has not seen any adult sights. Yet. Also use malwarebytes and Chrome.

It makes it really hard to troll Sparties and Buckeyes for being idiots when Michigan's "flagship" blog works as poorly as it does.

I got a ransom redirect, so I turned adblocker back on and I'll probably leave it on for a year or so. I was around for the last major malware epidemic on this site so I feel justified in being cautious.
The amazon referral link is meant to be used, especially by people who use an adblocker. I'll focus on that and spare my computer.
