Drake Harris transferring for 5th year
Not a surprise given his injury plagued up and down career. I hope he lands somewhere he can get the playing time he wants.
Seemed like a quality young man. His note below:
I want to take this opportunity to first and foremost thank everyone who has believed in me up until this point. My journey has had many bumps in the road and the cards I️ have been dealt were not particularly ideal. However, the end is far from near. -To Coach Hoke, thank you for giving a young boy his dream of playing at The University of Michigan. To Coach Harbaugh, thank you for helping me expound my athletic abilities and mold me into the athlete that I️ am today. To my teammates, friends, family, and fans, you never gave up on me and always allowed me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If I️t wasn’t for you all, I️ wouldn’t be where I️ am today. Without further notice, I️ will be continuing my football career elsewhere for my 5th year season. I️ will forever cherish my memories in the Big House and I️ will never forget the lessons and qualities that made me a Michigan man. Forever and always, GO BLUE!

Was so excited when he chose us. Such a shame his hamstrings did not cooperate.

McCafrey... Mcafree... McCafferty... McCaffrey... How many ways can his name be spelled!!
Don't put too much stock in scout team performance, though. The same thing DB said about DM was said about JOK in 2015. That was one of the reasons we all thought he'd beat out Speight pretty easily.

It was not the same thing, Don Brown was speciffic in pointing out that it was not the same as JOK when he was asked. That said I still would not put any stock in it.

I don't recall him ever being considered a dual threat qb, not even close to the athlete his dad and bro are, a pro style passer all the way.

by his high school stats and brother's ability. He was a dual threat in high school, but he played at a level of competition in suburban Colorado where he was one of the best athletes on the field (not really saying a lot) so his legs were utilized. While he will be a capable scrambler ala Jake Rudock at the NCAA level, he really isn't a designed run guy. Meanwhile Joe Milton, who is faster, shiftier, and just flat out a better athlete than Dylan, is considered a true pocket passer by those same people because his legs aren't utilized as much by his team, but that doesn't take into consideration that he is playing a higher level of competition and athletes in Florida. If Joe played for Valor Christian we would all be calling him a dual threat too.

Yes, but more so that we had deplorable QB play. All in the past as Michigan and Harbaugh will begin to shut the critics mouths. Ya wait till next year thing but man are we going to be loaded with experienced talent. Looking forward to having a good o-line and QB. Defense will be shored up with a few tweeks here and there. It should be a little more stoubt and really fast. Plug solomon in for hurst, faster linebackers and a new safety by the name of Woods. If offense is consistent we win all games. It is that simple.

We struggled because our QB play was far below league average.
Michigan should have a top 2 or 3 calibur qb in the big ten.
That's literally all we were missing with the sole exception of Penn State. Even Penn State could have been a win with a real QB.
Just think how sweet its going to be when Joe Milton leads us to the promised land (total guess - just some weird gut level thing even though Harbaugh would play a refrigerator if it had a year more experience than Dan Marino).
