I dont believe Harbaugh runs a meritocracy anywhere
If he did then Higdon would have been starting a LONGGGG time ago

It's pretty clear that after what we all think is going to happen next week happens, and the soft 3 game schedule after that, that you have to give Peters a 3 game tryout.
The people who keep saying that O'Korn is better than Peters or he'd be playing are almost certainly right. But they're also completely missing the point. O'Korn is ineffective and turnover prone. I mean, 58 yards and 3/attempt. He is bad enough that there really isn't much downside to Peters playing. And O'Korn has no future beyond this year. Oh, so we might go 8-4 with O'Korn but we could maybe lose to Minnesota and go 7-5 with Peters? Pfffft. Who gives a shit? We're not beating WI, PSU or OSU with O'Korn. Yeah, maybe you go back to O'Korn for WI and OSU so Peters doesn't get destroyed by our pass protection, that's a valid consideration. But past that, at some level no matter what huddle deficiencies or other weaknesses he has that put him 3rd on the original depth chart they become meaningless. It's obvious O'Korn doesn't meet the expectations for the job. And while Peters probably isn't gonna succeed either, at least for this year, you have to try something different if the current plan isn't working. And you see what you have for the future and get him some experience.

I wonder how Shane would have fared this year? Any worse than what we've seen out of O'Korn?

Nevermind, I checked his stats.
woof.

I seriously doubt he could be worse and I guarantee he already has a rapport with Perry. He won state championships at Rice so he's not stranger to pressure. I wonder if his fake ID thing got him on Harbaughs permanent sh*t list? He's not Shane Morris either just because he came from the Detroit area Catholic league, before someone suggests that.

He might not be Shane Morris, but he can't be very good considering he doesn't even get mentioned. And it's not because he was caught with a fake ID. If he could help our offense then we'd be hearing his name.

What are you watching man? We won that game in spite of o'korn. He has put up two of the worst QB performances in my lifetime of watching Michigan football. Only Bellomy was worse.

the problem is the lack of garbge time we've had this season so we can't see what Peters can do. Speight couldn't get us garbage time in September against cinci, or airforce. JOK got us 2 mins of it against Purdue. Our lack of game data makes this a huge circular argument.

I really cant imagine Dcaf is ahead of Peters
Now I know dcaf has had SOME training under Harbaugh but in the AA game and the polynesian Bowl Dcaf looked super raw and didnt seem to have a strong arm or any zip on the ball
On the other hand Peters didnt look bad in the spring game
If Dcaf IS ahead of Peters then our QB situation is much MUCH worse than everybody thinks
