ESPN Top 50 CFB Players
ESPN unveiled the first half of their top 50 players for the upcoming season. Nothing groundbreaking, but it means football is getting close! Mo Hurst checks in at #48, and Rashan Gary at #38. Other B1G representatives:
#46 OSU RB Mike Weber
#36 OSU DL Tyquan Lewis
#31 OSU DE Sam Hubbard
#44 NW Justin Jackson
#40 WIS LB Jack Cichy
Surprisingly, no Spartans made the list.

LJ Scott over Weber, anyday.
Scott has more on tape to show at this point, but I agree.
And he's not that far behind Saquon. I hate that he plays for State because he's my favorite style of back, and he'd be PERFECT in the Harbaugh offense.

Looks like the conference is still not well thought of by ESPN. Best player coming in at 31? I think it'll change dramatically by season's end, but that's rough. Not that it matters.
26 - 50.
My mistake.
But if Sam Hubbard, Tyquan Lewis and Gary are outsdie the top 25, I don't expect too many B1G players within the top 25. Those are potentially the three best players in the conference.
will make it. I don't think McSorley deserves it, but he might make it. Billy Price will make it, since he was an All America last year.

1-25 is out. Link
JT Barrett - 13
Trace McSorley - 10
Saquon Barkley - 4
Barkley is the only one that I think is in a fair spot. Barrett was mediocre last season. Hasn't seen his freshman form since the injury against us. McSorley has had one very good game against a quality opponent (Wisconsni BTCG) and had an up and down game against USC in the Rose Bowl. He sucked against Michigan and OSU. I am not opposed to him in the top 50, but top 10? Maybe I'm underestimating him, but that seems very high. Hard to compare positions but I don't think he's better than Sam Hubbard, Tyquan Lewis, Hurst and Gary.

McSorely at #10 is atrocious. The majority of the way he plays, it's like he's in his front yard playing "500" with his buddies, just tossing up prayers. I think he is a decent QB and I like his energy, but he is no where near a top 10 player in the country.
Some passing-only numbers to compare McSorely to Speight in 2016 just for shits n giggles:
McSorely
224 of 387 (57.9%). 3,614 yards. 9.3 yds/av. 29 TDs and 8 INTs. 156.9 rating.
Speight:
204 of 331 (61.6%). 2,538 yards. 7.7 yds/av. 18 TDs and 7 INTs. 139.8 rating.
Clearly I am not posting these numbers to show Speight is "better" or deserving to be on any lists, but I figured it was a good benchmark to compare considering we all watched Speight play weekly. McSorely has the attractive yards per attempt and TD numbers, however that 57.9% completion rate is laughable.
