...should tell you all you need to know about Michigan's interest level.
They're in great position with Ryan Hayes and Jalen Mayfield and have a top-tier guard committed in Emil Ekiyor. O-line recruiting is in fine shape.
you are worried about a kid because he has a certaiin number ranking next to his name? have you talked to him? watched him play? met his friends and family? i think the coaches go by more than just where other people have a player ranked.
Wow. That would be pretty embarassing if the #1 recruit in the state opts to leave to go play for a cellar-dwellar SEC team.
OSU I'd get (disgustingly, but I'd get it. Maybe he's not a UM fan), Alabama, USC, ND, I'd definitely get wanting to go to those places. But you're a top-100 player, can go probably just about anywhere you want, and you want to go to a school that believes you're just a good way to pass the time until basketball season?
That I don't get. You're going to be your entire conference's tune-up game.
He should go to OSU, Alabama, USC or ND. Or Michigan. Problem is, none of those 5 schools seem to want him to play for them. And he's on the verge of committing to the 3rd best Stoops brother at a basketball school. Are we really having a hard time figuring this out?
Friggin' 247 Composite, man. What a racket.
The day we hired Jim is the day I stopped caring about recruiting rankings.

This has been a strange recruitment from the jump. It's like their is something being held back and he is not a take for some reason. He was at the spring game so I just do not get it. He is the #4 guard in the country and he is looking at kentucky........REALLY. Can someone please shed some light on this because you just don't let top 100 kids walk without a reason.
Which is worse: (1) people falsely believe Michigan lost out on a recruit, or (2) people falsely believe there's something wrong with this kid?
I think 2 is worse. Maybe you should take it easy speculating about his ability/ character.
UM is not pushing hard for McCall, certainly not as high as you'd think given his ranking. Not sure why. Sam Webb has intimated that Ryan Hayes and Jalen Mayfield are top targeted OL and possibly the next to verbal. If so, class is at 10 with only 8-10 spots open. Anyone know how many OL we take in this class?
because McCall is a big fan of the Judd's music.
A guy heading to Kentucky that is ranked so high must be overrated. I'd think PSU, MSU, OSU etc. would be pushing for him if he was the real deal.
Based on interest in Kentucky, the kid doesn't seem to know which sport he plays which might indicate why we're a bit cool on him.
Harbaugh, Saban, Meyer, Dantonio, et al have lost their minds. I'm giving up football again.
My mind automatically thought Ian "Uncle Creepy" McCall, I watch too much MMA
