She probably did not have any monitor to look at being a sideline reporter. It's a lot harder to do a game broadcast from court-level with no monitor and you are like 5' 2''. All you can see is the back of a couple of players at a time.
That alone puts hers ahead of many in her industry.

Jim Nantz and Bill Rafftery. The other guy almost made me go silent. Most game's I watch with the mute on. The play by play guy's are pretty good for the most part. The second and sometimes third party for the most part. Not good.
