Huh? Bill Paxton IS Chet, the dickhead older brother in Weird Science. I mean, it begins and ends there. Literally, if he had never been in another movie, millions of people would still remember his as Chet... Pfft, Private Hudson... Pfft, Alien...

I demand a poll! The question:
"For which role do you most remember Bill Paxton?
1. Chet from "Weird Science"
2. Pvt. Hudson from "Aliens"
3. Guy Talking to Old Naked Lady in "Titanic"
4. Douchebag Car Salesman who Bangs Arnold's Wife in "True Lies"
5. Other
(FYI, if the poll does not confirm my pre-existing beliefs, it shall be ignored as "fake"...)

He was also great in the HBO series Bug Love.
RIP Wild Bill.

Bug Love was awesome. He had so much weird sex with so many different classifications of insects. Sweet...

I haz a sad, RIP Bill

1. Chet
2. Simon
February 26th, 2017 at 2:31 PM ^
I'll remember him most for this lead role in Twister.
February 26th, 2017 at 2:33 PM ^
You are correct! Chet is an American pop-icon!
February 26th, 2017 at 3:22 PM ^
When I heard the news I texted my wife to let her know "Chet" died. She knew exactly what I meant. This news did sadden me - I was always a Bill Paxton fan.

Much more memorable in Twister
February 26th, 2017 at 10:45 PM ^
Aliens all the way. 'game over man' is a line we say in my household all the time
Twister would be a close second

The answer is clearly #1 and if you don't agree you deserve a set of elephant balls.

Vampire in "Near Dark". Sucking blood off his fingers while crowing, "finger licking good!!!"

I'll never forget this man. Ever since I was 5 years old and no one stopped me from watching the CBS primetime slot of Aliens. The nightmares over the years that resulted from that damn movie. It's made me a grateful lad to be alive many mornings!
February 26th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
RIP He'll always be Chet to me.
February 26th, 2017 at 1:00 PM ^
yup- forgot that was him. So many quoteable lines from Chet.

February 26th, 2017 at 2:27 PM ^
He was great when he played for UCLA though
February 26th, 2017 at 2:38 PM ^
Nope Pullman was the President in Independence Day, Paxton was in Apollo 13 and Aliens , and Predator and Terminator.
February 26th, 2017 at 2:52 PM ^
He was referring to the subject line in the post above talking about the Schwartz
February 26th, 2017 at 3:53 PM ^
Yeah I got ahead of myself and figured out which Bill it was but didn't change the subject. Consider my muffin buttered.
February 26th, 2017 at 1:00 PM ^

RIP Mr. Paxton.

Always liked Bill Paxton. He never seemed like a typical Hollywood elitist. Big time bummer.

BIll Paxton was one of only two people that had the distinct honor of being killed by an Alien, a Terminator and a Predator, but he was part of so many memorable films and so many mememorable roles. Very sad news indeed, especially on Oscar morning.
RIP, Bill Paxton.

Bill Paxton was great in Frailty. For a while I thought he was Seth Bullock in Deadwood. I was wrong.
February 26th, 2017 at 5:05 PM ^
February 26th, 2017 at 7:41 PM ^
Another thumbs up for Frailty.
A terribly underappreciated movie IMO. Paxton, McConaughey and Powers Boothe all gave really nice performances.
RIP, Private Hudson
