Notes
*Games Featuring major clubs are in bold.
*This is our weekly Thursday/Friday thread, to keep from needing one more thread for what is usually a light day of footballing.
*Europa League Round of 32 is played over 2 legs, and this is the second and final.
*If you don’t see a league or team listed that you want to follow and discuss, let me know and I’ll add it (within reason). I’m not going out of my way to make sure Scunthorpe or Drogheda United are covered here.
*I have heard the voice of the people. Time has shifted to your beloved Eastern Time Zone. I am a benevolent God.
Enjoy, cheers, and Go Blue!

Are Gent and Genk just two brothers who started both mirroring and competitive soccer franchises in two seperate countries? I don't care. That's the narrative I'm going with.

The times should be listed based on where the teams actually play. Duh.
Get back to work.

I was thinking each game could have a world clock listed beneath it. Maybe not every country, but as long as we know what time the game will be on in Denver, Los Angeles, Detroit, Indianapolis, Halifax, Beijing, Mumbai and London, we are pobably in the clear.

You don't like soccer. Point made.

I watch soccer all the time.
I just don't have anything interesting to talk about because I'm an Arsenal fan. All I have to look forward to is getting kicked out of the CL in the round of 16 and finishing 4th in the PL. yay

I haven't really inherited a team in the EPL. I've always like Tottenham for some reason, and they are pretty solid.
I'm more of a national team/country guy. And lord save us if the USA can't qualify.

I don't know what you're talking about. Soccer is the obviously the only sport where people make exaggerated motions, simulations, and flops to try and get a call. Never happens in any other sport. So it's a totally legitamate reason to not like soccer.

where I don't spend an hour compiling and posting GIFs that illustrate how athletes try to draw and obtain fake penalties in literally any and every sport imaginable at all levels.
It will be so hard to find QBs dropping in the backfield to try and get a roughing call when they haven't been touched, or punters taking a dive any time a rusher gets anywhere near them, or NBA players falling backward trying to get the charge or even taking a wild shot to make it look like someone hacked their arm, lineman and receivers holding onto jerseys hoping for a holding/interference call.
Because...yeah.....that only happens in soccer.

I don't think we have enough soccer threads.

i just put all the Europa League games in bold because it's a major trophy, kinda sorta.

10:40am and no downvote from UM fan from Sydney yet. Can someone go check on him? Is he still alive? Are his cats eating his cadaver? Do they hate soccer now too?

I was going to post this but didn't want to go back to back days on the subject. Thanks for carrying the torch.

These have no effect on United's standing in any competition whatsoever, so it's root for my best buddy's team day. Tottenham. Tottenham. Ain't nobody stoppin' em.

Initial reports of Ranieri out at LCFC. To go from the most incredible Premiership run to being jobless within 9 months. Nuts.

Kane OG... so Spurs are now down 1-2 on agg and on the wrong side of the away-goal rule. They now need to win 3-1 or better today. Gunner fans are laughing. (Oh, something to keep their mind off their own issuse, of course.)
