I disagree. Have you heard 'The Ecstatic?' It's amazing.

The vast majority of ballz still point to Michigan. I think we are overreacting here gang.

Eh, he just visited there, so yeah he got a lot of Twitter handles....a lot of people he followed weren't even football related. He probably did the same thing after a visit to Ann Arbor or Tuscaloosa.

Yeah if that happens OL starts becoming an issue. No Wilson, Herbert looking increasingly likely to flip to Florida and no impact OT for next year puts a damper on that.
December 14th, 2016 at 3:41 PM ^
No idea why people are voting you down. Current OL depth and talent is dicey. Michigan needs an impact tackle more than just about anything else.
December 14th, 2016 at 3:50 PM ^
That is not the case. Wilson is not the only guy UM is or has recruited for the offensive line. Your knucklebiting is completely unwarranted.
December 14th, 2016 at 4:11 PM ^
5* OTs generally work out pretty nicely, so the future is likely much brighter with Wilson than it is without.
Also, have you seen the depth chart at tackle?
December 14th, 2016 at 5:50 PM ^
He is BLUE all the way
December 14th, 2016 at 9:07 PM ^
This isn't just another OT. It's been mentioned that Wilson could come in and play from day one. With holes on our OL, potentially at LT, losing out on Wilson could actually be a significant loss. Here's hoping this is just some recruiting nonsense and he ends up in AA...we will definitely rejoice if he does.
December 14th, 2016 at 4:42 PM ^
Whats odd to me is the fascination in these parts, about RB recruiting, while our OL is our weakest area.
December 14th, 2016 at 7:32 PM ^
I put up a board post this week discussing Ty Isaac. The very first comment was something along the lines of, he doesn't get many carries because he goes down on first contact. OK, if a back is that bad but he can still gain 5.9 YPC, the line must be pretty good.
The line may have been our weakest area, but even our weakest area was pretty darn good.
I've been in favor of taking 5 O-linemen every year because that is where games are won and lost. I'd get push back saying, no, you only need 3-4 every year, and the year we took 6 is an exception because a lot of guys washed out. Here we are again in another situation where we won't have two solid lines of scholarship players for the spring game.

I have faith in Drevno. Heck, even this year he took a first team all big 10 tackle, three 2nd team guys and a freshman all-american and molded them into a mediocre line.

so I'd say he did a good job. The current line was not as good as their rankings indicated.
December 14th, 2016 at 4:33 PM ^
They finished 2nd in the big 10 in yards per carry and 3rd in fewest sacks allowed. They had three 2nd team all-big 10 guys, so I think they were ranked exactly where they should have been. But I guess you are smarter than the Big 10 coaches who spend hours watching film every week.

No true freshman is going to be an impact OT.
December 14th, 2016 at 5:28 PM ^
No, but they do need a true freshman tackle to play next season. Either as a starter or as a backup. They have JBB, Bredeson, Ulizio, and Newsome's shredded knee as options.
So while it may not be an "impact OT", a true freshman OT will absolutely be having an impact on the line.
December 14th, 2016 at 6:21 PM ^
Would they possibly move Cole back out to tackle? Ruiz-C, Bredeson and Onwenu -G, then just fill right tackle?
Just a thought if Cole stays.
December 14th, 2016 at 6:56 PM ^
Freshman OL playing=bad. Freshman OL playing center=really bad. There is a lot more mental aspect to playing center compared to a guard or tackle.
December 14th, 2016 at 7:35 PM ^
if you move Cole back to tackle, it's to play Kugler at center, but I think they were already moving Kugler to guard this year. I'd rather have a 2-year starter at center and have the TEs help the tackles in pass pro if need be.
