That penalty == not smart. But thankfully, the Miami committed just as dumb a penalty and the PP is over.
1-0 good guys
we're skating circles round em right now...
Looking more inspired after that goal, GREAT pressure in the offensive zone! I hope we can stay consistent and not give away any stupid turnovers, and I hope Hunwick continues to earn his PT, but the news is good so far.
Also, I hope this thread is largely empty so far because everybody else is at the game.
It's good to see Llewellyn on the good side of causing a goal, especially since he'll probably be the root to at least one power play (and subsequent goal) later in the game.
the play-by-play guy keeps calling them the Red Hots?
Definitely not just you
mmmmm Frank's RedHot

that's how they say it with a Canadian accent?
They're skating with a purpose right now and look pretty good. I just hope they can keep it up!
GO BLUE
I swear he keeps calling them the Red Hots.
Yeah, I should hit refresh before posting.
the color guy keeps purposefully enunciating "Red HawKKKKKs", almost like he's hoping the other guys realizes it....
I just assumed he was from Minnesota or Wisconsin. But yeah, I noticed it, too.
Sounds like they had a talk during the intermission. Hard, hard emphasis on Hawk that time.
At least it is not as bad as last weekend when Michigan State just threw some fans up there are announcers.
Those were probably students. Michigan does that with some of the olympic sports broadcasts. The BTN is actually looking at using the student programs (radio/TV) to do some of their web streaming games.
ooooooOOOOOOO oooooooOOOOOOO oooooooooOOOOOOOOO!
We made them work for every pass and shot there.
Grew up skating with Tommy Wingles, Wilmette Braves. Had no idea he was Miami's captain. he totally took a dive on that play, good to see a no call.
Also, Michigan looks good and so does Hunwick, he's playing very aggressively thus far, making saves outside th crease,
Lets keep it up blue
great 1st period
1-0 after the first. Looking good, keep it up!
Solid 1st. Need to keep it up in the next one. I have to expect Miami to respond.
for those of you who don't have it on the tube. real good quality too

small college basketball show was on, freaked out, then 5 minutes later it came on...

And was it my imagination but their team's also called Wolverines? Got me quite nervous. But thank Foxness the current feed is much better quality.
I may switch over to the Arizona feed just to avoid Moody Blues and Mo Town music putting me to sleep during commercial breaks.
Once they get the Miami forcheck figured out I think we can open it up a little bit.
Also hoping the refs keep letting them play.
Mullets...
yeah, he did NOT have that hockey mullet growing up
one almost-goal was... stopped by their own guys skate, then cleared at last minute...
You gotta love those hockey gods sometimes.
I remember when we played them in the regular season i wrote about this but Miami has scored 61 of their 137 goals in the second. They have accumulated 477 shots in the second as well.
I am sure with the way Hunwick is playing so far tonight he should not have a problem, only giving up a few rebounds and making some great saves already.
We'll need a few more goals to win this. We're allowing too many looks.
Haha, he definitely said Miami Red Hots there
This PP is a huge opportunity
SEE YA! Must capitalize.
I think that was a flop.
Edit: NVM
Man we've gotten lucky twice on penalty shots not being called. We've got to control the puck better.
I hope Michigan paid attention to the early game where FSU went out ahead and then surrendered 3 quick goals. Even if they did eventually tie it and force OT, it ultimately undid them.

OMG 4-on-1 goal!!!
That was awesome.
That 4-on-1 was fucking amazing passing. GOOOOOOOOOAL!
Fuck. Yes.
YES! Terrible line change!
4 on 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A 4 on 1 goal! That was beautiful!
2 shade motherfucker!!!
Yeah, we should try to get 4-on-1s more often, that'll solve the goal scoring problem.
