OT How can Mew be more powerful than Mewtwo?

Mewtwo is a clone of Mew and is supposed to be an advanced copy of Mew. However Mew can learn any attack in Pokemon red or blue making him much more valuable. Can anyone explain this?

How I understand it is Mew is the mysterious unknown Pokemon. His powers were never fully understood. When Mewtwo was cloned in a lab, Mew's powers were so great they couldn't copy them.

There is no clear answer as to who is more powerful between Mew and Mewtwo. In the games, card game, and movies both have had their high points. Overall they are an even match, but may have a slight advantage since he gives no fucks about humans. To make it more simply....think of mew and Yoda and Mewtwo as Sidious.
