Which school did you attend? I graduated from Kenton Ridge. Unfortunately no big football names, but we have had several Major League pitchers graduate from there throughout the years.

I was born there in 1975 and moved to Maui in 2001. God only knows why I'm moving back! Lmao! Honestly I'm moving back because it's getting harder for my parents to travel here.

Yeah the best part about Springfield, or anyplace other than here for that matter, is you can get in a car and drive anywhere you want. Maui might be paradise, but you're definitely stuck here unless you spend hundreds on a plane ticket!

It's just amazing to me that we are now talking about classes that will not set foot on campus until I have set foot in my forties. I realize I am far from the oldest person posting here, but recruiting is definitely starting to remind me of how long it has been since my undergraduate days in Ann Arbor.

For 2017, isnt a top 100 ranking a bit like having a milllion dollar non guarenteed NFL contract? Meaning, words with no teeth? Just guessing that is even moreso for a 2018 kid.

With the meritocracy, nothing but upside in taking a kid early though. Especially in Ohio, where we didn't take any 2016 kids.

There is always the chance that an early high-ranked kid can be a M. Robinson-type early bloomer (or dare I say Swenson), but I assume that JH and staff looked at more than just the rankings when offering.....plus Ohio kid!!

I think I like this bit of news. I think I like it quite a lot. Long ways away, but we haven't been getting many top 100 players from Ohio lately. I think the 2018 class will be a good tell with exactly how far we've come as a program as far as perception goes on the recruiting front. The staff hasnt had a lot of time to get on the 2017 kids real early, so I think we will be seeing more early commitments in the 2018 class.
