Being I'm the center of the universe, it should be considered a huge deal.
January 25th, 2015 at 5:52 PM ^
The proper nomenclature is "nexus of the universe."
January 25th, 2015 at 6:03 PM ^
It's the "Hub of the Universe"
Great Kramer clip, Bando

Don't blame us; we didn't create the flyover states.

But seriously, yeah, it's a weird news story every year but, honestly, this city really does become a circus if more than 4-5 inches hit the ground at any point. As long as the subways run most city people are fine, but the tri-state area becomes basically unnvagitable.

Ever see Jimmy Kimmel make fun of the faux drama of contemporary weather personalities on TV? It's a riot!

I made a new friend last year while waiting for the bus when the light dusting began for a predicted blizzard and all the offices shut down early. An Australian, she was new to NYC, but she too thought the escape panic was a bit silly. Turns out she'd lived in Chicago for 20 years, and I being from Michigan...
Wonder if my physical therapist will show up for my appt. this morning? I need it so my ankles hold up for the skis/snowshoes I'll need to get home...

Good luck.

You must definitely specify whether that is positive or negative 41. It has been thankfully mild here in metro Detroit this year.

Maybe I'm a wuss when it comes to winter, but I would hardly classify the winter in metro Detroit this year as mild.

Good luck to the MGoCommunity and beyond in the Mid-Atlantic and New England. This is the same system that, if this cold front poised to make Michigan a frigging ice bucket for a few days hadn't been so swift, would have brought us 2-4 inches today. We've been fortunate here that it has been a relatively dry winter to date, but 20-30 inches? Wow.

After the record temps and snow we had last year here in Chicago, my sympathies go out to all on the east coast. I am also deliriously happy it ain't us.

The lowest temp in chicago last year on May 16th was 39 degrees and it was mid 40's for most of the day..
There was light rain and drizzle.. no forecast of any snow.
Only reason i questioned your post is because i live a couple hours away from chicago and i don't remember it snowing at all. Looks like it didn't

Already planning on staying in a watching Tom Brady's Call to Action "Who's With Us" FB video about 50 times. The voice-over is perfect.
Already has 900K views -- probably all from the guy in the office next to mine.

If anyone can embed the video, thanks.

Not well.
Las time we got an inch and 1/2 right at morning rush hour. My daughter counted 3 different Saabs sliding down hills. She never got to school b/c of traffic and the fact that eventually her school cancelled the day.
