Harbaugh met with Wheatley at Red Robin tonight
At 9:55 PM a user posted to the Rivals forums that his boss ran into Harbaugh and Wheatley at Red Robin. His boss was allegedly told, by Harbaugh, that they were finalizing Wheatley's contract. Posters scoffed at the idea of Harbaugh and Wheatley meeting at Red Robin and sharing details regarding the contract with a stranger.
At 11:36 PM a user posted to the Scout forums that his friend took a picture with Harbaugh and Wheatley at Red Robin. Behold:
Maybe the rumors of Wheatley to Michigan being a "done deal" are true.
Even if not, awesome picture.

I originally had this video and played it after it was posted to make sure it worked. In fact I probably played it at least 10 times. When I looked this morning it was the same Red Robin Yum video posted below which may be why it was downvoted. I reposted this video after I noticed it.

Harbaugh is a strange man.

Yeah, but I am more and more buying the part about living his dream.

Seriously. Look at that smug grin on his face. It's great

I like to think Harbaugh returned to Ann Arbor because he has known he belonged in that coach's chair since he was 8, 9 or 10 years old. I like the ego element but I think this goes far beyond ego.

I respectfully disagree, although this may be semantics. I think he hates the rock star thing, hated the press conference and the half-time intro at the BBall game. Those are necessary evils on the road to what he does love -- which is an ego thing in a different way -- which is getting together with his guys (coaches) and restoring the tradition to greatness...one step beyond past greatness.
I think Urban's and Dantonio's success makes that fire burn the hotter - he believes he will pass those coaches and reach the top. This is a lot harder job than turning around a NFL franchise. That's business logistics, this is religion.

Yeah ... but just think where we'd be if we'd had that strangeness around here for the last seven years.

as well. We do have real wolverines within state lines, which could be part of the explanation.

Go Ducks. It's crazy the amount of Oregon swag on the streets here in Portland. Plus the guy with the fireworks after the FSU game laid out some bucks. Hopefully they will lay out some more Bucks soon.

Add one more in Pdx. I think the Thirsty Lion is a pretty lame bar by Portland standards (mediocre food and drinks, and needz moar hipsters!), and I generally prefer to watch games at home with my dog Maizey Blue, but I do try to make it out to the monthly alumni happy hours when my work schedule allows it. Would be great for the mgoblogging Portlanders (Portlandiers?) to be able to get together sometime. rfasman at gmail if anyone wants to grab a drink and talk UM sports sometime.

Thats a great place to have a meeting because you can stay and eat as many french fries that you want and never feel guilty because they just keep bringing them to you. Plus with the continuous fries you have a reason to sit there and talk to each other. it all makes sense....
IT'S HAPPENING!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Does this mean two Wheatleys for the price of one?
January 7th, 2015 at 4:17 AM ^
Thats funny actually.
Wheatley Jr. could end up going to a school that is paying his father. I love it. It sounds like such huge violation, but its totally legal. haha

Harbaugh is awesome. He is the kind of down to earth coach I would want to play for anyday. He reminds me a lot of some of the NCOs I had in the Army. I love his attitude.
