I love Grimaldi's (here in Tucson), but I acknowledge it may not be to everyone's taste.
It's not really traditional NY by-the-slice pizza. It's less cheesy and less parmesean.
My wife grew up in NYC and has spent many years seeking out the perfect non-NY NY pizza. She likes Grimaldi's very much, but even she admits it's not NY street pizza like she knows it.
And for fans of deep dish pizza ... Grimaldi's is 180 degrees from that.

Here's a link to it, it's also under the MGoBoard tab at the top of the screen. Here's what the map pulled up for Scottsdale, and there were several others that looked like they were within a few miles but outside Scottsdale borders.

I've lived here for 20+ years, and despite a multitude of first-rate restaurants, I have yet to find one that tops Richardson's. If the game doesn't go our way, I suggest you dull the pain with New Mexican-style surf-and-turf and a margarita or three. JMO.

In Scottsdale for a conference- MgoBlog comes through as Richardson’s and the New Mexico Surf and Turf is incredible.
Dos Gringos in Scottsdale seems to be a Covid casualty but Zips looked open for business.

There are a few places in Scottsdale. I'm closer to Tempe where Devils Advocate, Zipp's, etc are Michigan friendly and sports heavy.
