Why would any of these people leave their current jobs?
Smart or May would be my choices when you consider their coaching ability plus a decent chance of being convinced to come here.
Hoiberg. If you can win at Nebraska you can win bigger at Michigan
The fans don't have the patience for Hoiberg. He was 40-83 in the previous 4 seasons. I don't think he would leave Nebraska. They have a great fan base that has realistic expectations about the program. He'd be a great fit though, but he'd need to bring a "defensive coordinator" with him because his teams don't play it.
I'd go after Chris Beard. Dude can flat out coach and wins everywhere he's been. He'd be a tough pull since Ole Miss just signed him to a new contract only a year into his tenure.
Yeah, no, how about we leave the alleged domestic abusers to the SEC. Yes I know the charges were dropped but just because the victim doesn't want to proceed doesn't mean he is innocent. She still had visible physical evidence on her after all. There is zero reason to go after people with character questions when you have other guys out there that you could take a run at.
