New Mexico State is leading 14-7 in the second quarter while Liberty is driving. Game is on CBS Sports Network.

Oregon vs Washington 8PM on ABC. Winner likely Michigan's first playoff opponent after they take care of business tomorrow.

TCU lost by nearly 60 to Georgia.  They were every bit as awful as everybody thought they were.

That doesn’t guarantee a Michigan victory — heck, Michigan’s not even guaranteed to beat Iowa.  But I imagine most of us who watched or attended that game felt the same way — the better team lost last year.  It happens sometimes.

Im not playing the ”Washington is going to beat us” card but I am saying they are probably super Maryland or OSU where you cashed in the defense for an NFL Qb.

I dont like discounting teams and then sitting there frustrated during the game because I let board jockeys talk me into thinking our opponent had no chance. It makes for a frustrating day. Washington is bad and TCU was awful thats fine.

I will think of Washington as a very high powered offense that will present some challenges. We better put an offensive game plan together for a 35pt day at minimum.

The best part about playing Washington if it works out that way is that it keeps us from deluding ourselves that we can just run and "control the game", like we did last year.  We will need to put up some scores.

They are a good matchup for us if we take advantage of their defense that fades in the second half, and if we force some mistakes by their erratic offense.  But they will score points.

Sure but there is no reason to get in a track meet. The best strategy is the control the clock, stay aggressive, touchdowns over field goals.

Like I said earlier, Oregon reminds me of 2022 TCU and Washington reminds me of 2022 OSU.

If we wind the clock back a year, we had the explosives, but the most devastating drive may have been the long one that ended in the McCarthy rushing TD.

Now we need Texas to win. Alabama beating Georgia would also keep OSU out. Texas and Alabama both losing would be a nightmare, especially if FSU also loses (which they probably will).
