2022 RB Gi'Bran Payne names M to top 10
I know I just posted a thread about Domani Jackson naming Michigan to his top 10, but I'm all hopped up on Mountain Dew, so this is thread #2 for the day.
Cincinnati (OH) La Salle running back Gi'Bran Payne named Michigan to his top 10, too. He's a 4-star, the #24 running back, and #206 overall to 247 Sports in the 2022 class. Alabama, Penn State, and Wisconsin (plus others) have also offered. There hasn't been a ton said about 2022 running backs with so much focus on Donovan Edwards in 2021, but it could be pretty dang important if Michigan whiffs on Edwards and needs a good back in 2022. (I know Dillon Tatum from West Bloomfield is a 2022 kid, but I don't really see him playing RB in college; he's probably more of a safety.)
Pop (soda) will rot your teeth and make you fat. Get off that Mountain Dew. (I'm 3 years clean from a 20+ year diet soda and 45 year soda addiction.)
Pretty much just water, unsweetened coffee/tea, and booze for me.
I drink only distilled water, or rainwater, and only pure-grain alcohol.
...and fermented palm sap, apparently:
How do you pronounce that first name? Can’t figure out if it’s a hard or soft G. Seems most likely soft.
Je-BRAN is what I’m going with.
Nod to Khalil Gibran?
I was thinking Juh-bran or Juh-bron
I believe it's a contraction of "Giant Brain."
Name alone makes him an extreme priority take.
Didn't see osu on the list...are they recruiting him? They pretty much have their way in Cincy
OSU is recruiting him but haven't offered yet. They tend to wait to offer in-state kids (unless they are absolute takes after their Sophomore year). Talk in OSU recruiting media is that if OSU makes a push (and some think they will), they will definitely be in the conversation. Other top RB targets for OSU in 2022 include Nicholas Singleton, Kaytron Allen, and Emeka Megwa.
This kids tape is VERY impressive. 100% do want.
