Merry Christmas, everyone!
Just sent the kid upstairs for a bath, then some split pea soup for dinner while watching A Christmas Story. Then he's off to bed so we can arrange the last of the gifts and put together the new ping pong table.
I might try to make some cinnamon rolls for tomorrow morning, but I suck at that. I'm sure they won't rise properly and I'll be left with cinnamon flavored naan bread...

I made a batch of beignets this afternoon and had my young nieces and nephews help fry them up and sugar them-a delightful afternoon...so much fun and so delicious. I highly recommend them-not as difficult as one might think. You can refrigerate the dough overnight-up to a week.

Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus, Happy Winter Solstice, and Merry Christmas. And for those of you who don't observe any of the above, I hope you either make tons of overtime working, or you are able to enjoy time with your family and loved ones.
