Michigan vs. SMU visitors
It's not a huge visit weekend for SMU this week, but there are still a good number of visitors coming to town. Of course everyone has heard about Oklahoma safety Daxton Hill visiting, but there are also a couple highly touted 2020 prospects coming from Arizona, S Lathan Ransom and RB Bijan Robinson.

Have a good weekend!

thanks magnus/thunder. do you expect any possible commits from this weekend?

No, I do not. Daxton Hill could pull the trigger, but I don't think he'll do it (publicly) on this visit, if at all. The other guys just aren't ready to decide soon, I don't think.

Thanks Magnus! Are Robin(son) and Ransom a package deal or just taking visits together? Quite the punny combo of names; would hate to see them split up (although sounds like Robinson is trending Stanford).

They're just taking visits together. Package deals don't often happen, anyway.

Oops. Double post. Oops. Double post.

Thanks for the info, as always. Only a 19% CB for D. Hill to Michigan seems a bit surprising given recent vibes. But I guess we should take it for what its worth.

Always take the CBs with a grain of salt. You get rewarded for making the correct pick early much more than you are penalized for being wrong. IMO It is more important to look for trends particularly when a player is close to committing. - I.e. M got like 10 CBs for Giles Jackson in the 72 hours before he announced while having almost none before that time.
A majority of those Oklahoma balls are from early in the recruitment based on nothing more than where does a top prospect from that state tend to go? (An OU insider changed his ball to M a few months back when it became clear -to him- that Hill wasn’t coming to OU ....not that he was certain it was going to be M just that it wasn’t OU.)
One last note - most already knew this... but Chris Partridge IS A BOSS. IF (—- IF ——-) Dax Hill, a Safety, ends up at M...... Coach P, the safeties Coach, will have had a direct hand in recruiting pretty much every high rated player on our D including all of the 5-stars. If his coaching ability comparesto his recruiting Harbaugh and Brown should be grooming him to take over as DC whenever Brown decides to hang ‘em up.

Saban trying to poach Partridge pretty much says ALL that need be said about his skills -
But great post enumerating his successes! What a great get he was.
But my question - did he get Rashan, or did Rashan get HIM?

Getting Daxton Hill would make it a huge weekend.

Ransom - sweet name for the secondary

Edit: this is a HUGE visit weekend.

Very interesting. Everyone besides Hill in the 2019 class that is visiting has committed, and Dax has mentioned the importance of relationships with other recruits in his previous interviews. Cade in particular has been recruiting him hard for the class. Fantastic.

I think the word you were looking for is “Tremendous.”

Keep SMU and their golden trans-ams and dead hookers away from the croots

I'll be 20 or so rows behind them, I'll keep a close watch for golden trans-ams in the stands!

Lewis Cine making an unnoficial for the Nebraska game...that’s huge...I’m sure we can “out-hit” them and still manage a W.
