WTKA Roundtable 9/6/2018: The Stalinists Are Going to Kill Him Anyway
Things discussed:
- Craig Ross is the Millard Fillmore of radio personalities.
- Nike and Kaep: boycotting WTAK
- Dwumfour, Dwumfour hype got turtled.
- Hawkins tipped the ball to the guy. M used a lot more Cover 2—Hawkins was good at it.
- M had the right D scheme: make Wimbush throw bombs.
- Patterson's got to find the Butt Zone.
- Caller asks about my Neck Sharpies: M thought they could get away with it, didn't. Too much of this 2008 stuff in offenses since 2008.
- JBB didn't get used much in the run game
- Why don't you Manball?
- Craig Ross pulls out a Trotsky reference that Brian gets.
- If Michigan doesn't change personnel and strategies to compensate for the OT deficiencies this year they're losing 3 or 4 more games.
- Don't ask them to say it; the gameplan tells you what the coaches think about their tackles.

I dug out and dusted off my disused mgoblog account just so I could say: thank you for cracking my ass up on the drive this morning. I tuned into WTKA right when Craig started dropping the Trotsky analogies and I literally LOLed. Thanks, guys.

If they don’t put an ass kicking to western it’s going to be a looonnngg season. I think they will because the plays were there if we had even fuckin 1 second of extra time for Shea.
Jesus h find a tackle who can’t at least be below average.

Not sure that I totally got Craig’s analogy, but if we were to extend it to the rest of the Big Ten, Rutgers is definitely Frida Kahlo’s monobrow

Brian basically said what I was wondering and asked Space Coyote: why not run more power ? We seem to be good at that. Play to Oline's strength. Unless zone is easier to pass block from? Confused what Harbaugh is trying to do but I trust that wariner and Harbaugh will make the line better. Eventually.

OK, I get the photo with Leon Trotsky in it, but why Frida Kahlo?

They were pals. Trotsky was living in Mexico City when he was killed.

Frida was married to Diego Rivera, who claimed he had a pathological aversion to monogamy. Rivera, a communist, was giving Leon (Lev) safe haven in Mexico but/and Frida and the revolutionary hit it off and had an affair. Even though Rivera had plenty of affairs, he wanted Frida to be monogamous, which I suspect may have caused some problems. Frida grew tired of Leon and Lev and Diego argued. Trotsky left the Rivera residence. In 1940 a Stalin agent murdered him with an axe.
So it goes, Billy Pilgrim.

How many times has Frida Kahlo been mentioned on RCMB or 11W? This blog is worth every every penny.

I assumed that Brian wears a Michigan hockey jersey 365 days a year.

Brian's "Ed is not a radio personality" cuts deep.
