Michigan could be taking 4 receivers
I was on nj.com, since I live there, and found an article about recent offeree Canteen. In the article they say Michigan will be taking 2 more receivers. Thoughts?

4 WRs are seniors and with the prevelance of 3 WR sets we should have around 10 on scholarship for proper competition.
I only count 3 Sr. WRs: Gallon, Dileo, and Jeremy Jackson... who is the 4th?
Joe Reynolds, a walk-on (from my high school!) who played in 11 games last season, mostly special teams.

Ahh ok, I was only looking at the scholarship guys because, well, scholarships.
They are counting on Joe Reynolds to take reps this fall, so that could be a fourth.
This further indicates that the class is going to be probably 20 guys. Attrition is inevitable and there are some fifth years in line for the firm handshake.
Ash, Paskorz Hagerup?
We don't really publicly speculate on the names... but you can usually look at the depth chart and draw some pretty good conclusions. No reason to think this year will be any different in that regard.
Why is that particular topic taboo on this board? I have never understood this.
I think it's basically an issue of decorum. You're talking about college-aged kids who are, at best, 22 years old that play a game for our amusement. Often speculation about their place on the team or in school is in the context of "are they being kicked off/out because they broke a rule" or "will they be here next season because they aren't playing well." Out of general respect for the players, speculation without confirmation from the program about their status with the team is kept to a minimum.
Seems like Borges wants to be able to do anything with the offense he wants depending on what teams are throwing at him. Giant and athletic tight ends, speedy slot guys with after the catch ability, big fast downfield threats, and a violent run game. Sounds like a recipe for success to me. We're gonna be multiple on both sides of the ball.
who are the speedy slot guys?
Norfleet and Dileo... and we have Artavis Scott targeted.. Dude is like an electric pinball
Awesome comment. Sadly I can only upvote you once for it.
Has Norfleet ever played slot? And Dileo isn't all that speedy, let alone a Borges recruit.
If anything, WR recruiting under Hoke has been notable for the lack of speedy slot guys, making the current WR recruiting situation interesting.
They haven't added anyone yet, but it changes if we take both Scott and Canteen. Sound like both of them are speedy, slot guys.
I would expect to see at least one of those speedy, 6'0/6'1" guys that we've recruited at DB last year and this year to end up on the offensive side of the ball, too. That would fill that slot need pretty well, especially since at least a couple of those guys played receiver in high school.
There's just too much talent that we've recruited there lately to keep them off the field, but you can't play dime defenses all day, either.
It was reported not to long ago that Norfleet will play the slot this year.
I'll go with Da'Mario Jones. He seems like a run after the catch guy and is reported to have 4.4 speed. Plus, more convincingly, schools from the south were in contact with him.
Four WRs in the 2014 class? It sounds like "We had subs it was crazy" talk to me, but what do I know?
so we can stop with the "zomg what if Canteen takes Scott's spot?!?" comments.
has said that yet in this thread.
I knew it
With that gif I know someone's been browsing reddit...
Yeah, I'll take it.
What about Stefon Diggs?
Oh, and something about Fred Jackson, Alex Kozan, intergalactic recruiting and non-committable offers
Kelly Baraka quit smoking weed and still has eligibility!
Trevor Laws woke up a Wolverine
Considering that Scott is rumored to have Michigan as his leader and KJ Williams could be a backup plan. Wasn't sure how Canteen fit in there but if the coaches are hoping for Scott and Canteen as their final two, that clicks a bit more
WR may be our only glaring need besides safety. There is clock to be had. D. Harris being an EE is a bonus.
