For tomorrows matchup... which would you rather have?

I want the top one. Interesting.

Our's definitely. I'm trying to set aside previous biases, but I do think that the giant O logo in the middle of the chest looks stupid.

Maize shoes, maize uniform, maize rage maize out. It's gonna be a-maize-ing tomorrow night.

You do realize your criticism was directly entirely towards the color?
February 4th, 2013 at 9:46 PM ^
I can see where that would be confusing. Colors and teams aside meaning im not going to say its a bad jersey simply because it is Ohio State colors or Michigan colors. Perhaps "All bias aside" would have been more pleasing to you?

No one will be able to read the uniform numbers on TV, as what happened with the Outback Bowl and when Kansas wore all-blues a few weeks ago. Not as big of a problem as football, since we can see the players' faces, but a problem nonetheless.
The Ohio one is worse because it's Ohio, and because the front looks terrible on all of the Nike schools that have used this design.
February 4th, 2013 at 9:16 PM ^
Those Outback numbers sucked, and I fear these will be just as bad. The court is obviously a lot smaller than a football field, and you'll have direct indoor lighting, but I fear for the worst. Not a fan.
February 5th, 2013 at 6:47 AM ^
Yout forgetting 2 huge differences between these basketball jerseys and the outback bowl uniforms. The main one being the outback bowl was played outside in the sun and two the outback bowl uniforms where white with maize numbers. You wont have a problem seeing these numbers.
The Nike jerseys suck because they are just old retreads sold as something new
I don't care if we wore trash bags and duct tape as long as we beat Ohio

I like Ohio's jersey much, much better. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to throw up.
February 4th, 2013 at 4:52 PM ^
I saw our "Bleed Out" jerseys in person Saturday @MDen and they actually look decent.. I do like the format of the ohio jersey though with the logo and number stacked

Love the design of ours, even though theirs are much easier to read.
February 4th, 2013 at 5:05 PM ^
I will always pick the Michigan <whatever> over the ohio state <whatever>. Maybe you prefer the Nike style/format/design, but once you slap "ohio state" and that stupid nut on there, it's no question.
February 4th, 2013 at 5:05 PM ^
It looks like a practice jersey combined with a sweater vest.
Maybe it's just me, but I like the simple look, although I think bolder outline of the letters and numbers would be worth a look.

I really hate the logo jerseys. I've seen a few other schools wear them and they look dumb. The bleed outs are much better.

Yeah, the single, centered logo looks terrible. Michigan would never stoop to such a...

Because that season was pretty fun until Jamal Crawford got questionably dinged by the NCAA? That team was way more fun to watch than its record indicates.
Seriously, did anyone around here watch Michigan Basketball before 2010?
February 5th, 2013 at 12:10 AM ^
As a little kid, I remember watching Dan Fife play. That's Dane's dad.
Johnny Orr was a truly excellent coach; maybe the best pure basketball coach Michigan's had in my lifetime. Maybe not the best recruiter; but pretty good. And just a terrific teacher.

Josh Asselin. Chris Young. Kevin Gaines. LaVell Blanchard. Gavin Groninger. Dion Harris. Avery Queen. Amaker years with Ron Coleman and Jerret Smith. The NCAA tourney teams of Abram, Horton, Petway, Sims, and Hunter that should have occurred, but never did. Etc., etc., etc. I've religiously watched since the early 80's. I even endured the entire Duke game circa Ellerbe era when we were down something like 34-2.
This year has been a complete joy to watch, especially if you paid attention to Michigan basketball from 1998-2008.

Georgetown's and Texas's Hyper Elites look kinda fresh. For them. Wouldn't want us to ever go back to the block M.

...but would like it even better if they'd "bleed out" the adidas logo too.
Seriously, what the hell? The "Michigan" gets bled into the background but the corporate logo is given high contrast? Pardon my french, but fuck that shit.
February 4th, 2013 at 5:29 PM ^
Speaking of corporate logos, where's the B1G logo on these?

They at least retain the basic color scheme/contrast, and you can read the numbers.

Ours is stupid and hard to read but Ohio's jersey (and all like them) seriously look like Meijer-brand jerseys with their logo on the front. It just looks bad
February 4th, 2013 at 6:14 PM ^
You're right, but it is because anything that bears that particular Ohio State logo looks like it is from Wal-Mart. (I actually like Meijers, a Michigan company.)
That logo is an abomination. I think a lot of Buckeyes dislike it.
