Isn't that the exact same thing that Tennessee said after they throttled us in the Citrus Bowl after the 2001 season?

would have a better shot to win with Pryor than Boekman at this point.
Tressel was asked if Pryor had a chance to earn and starting role and his response basically seemed to dismiss any chance of Pryor starting.
Pryor didn't make any stupid mistakes which is something that Boekman a 6th year senior can't seem to avoid.

What we saw last year: Ohio State is not NEARLY as good as the Herbstreit-skewed media would have us believe.
We saw it last year in The Game-- that Damn Buckeye team was FAR from special, and if Henne even had anything better than a rubber chicken for an arm we could have shut them down. Don't get me wrong, a win is a win, and esp. in our rivalry all bets are off in terms of talent vs. passion.
But after their do-just-enough performance in our game last year, it was obvious that LSU was going to take it to 'em. Same thing with Saturday-- even with Beanie in the lineup I think USC would have had this game in the can be the end of the 3rd.
Either way, it definitely made Saturday a little easier to swallow, watching them blister and suffer in the glow of the sun that is USC.
NOW... You wait and see, Wisconsin and Penn St. games notwithstanding, Herbstreit will do his best to lobby the Damn Buckeyes BACK into title contention by the end of the year. MARK MY WORDS:
By November we'll have to sit through his annual appeal to the BCS that-- and I quote-- "Right now Ohio State is playing as good as anybody in the country."
I think I'm going to throw up now.

......OSU is going to get through the Big 10 without a loss, maybe even two. I thought that before Saturday night's game and I believe it even more now.
So, we dont really need to worry about some alleged pro-OSU media driving them back into contention. Let the season play out and the it will shake itself out.
Right now its USC vs the best looking 1-loss team from the Big 12 or SEC. If USC finds a way to lose it will open the floodgates, but not enough for the Bucks to get back into the show. But, I make that statement pretty confident the best OSU will do in league play is 7-1.

I, personally, do NOT think the Damn Buckeyes will get back there. But I DO think that Herbstreit will do everything short of wiring the undercarriage of the Sooner Schooner with C-4 to make it happen. He's done more for the on-field success of that program from his Gameday desk than he EVER did on the field.
There, I said it. Damn Buckeyes.

Michigan is ahead of the curve & we'll see OSU go through these same growing pains in the next few years.
No matter how great Michigan or OSU have been in the last decade, they've always been vulnerable to the quick spread offenses. Michigan will be re-tooled & OSU will still be trying to figure out how everybody passed them by.
