Sam Webb: 2 more commits before/during Spring game weekend
So let the guessing begin, especially on the heels of the Treadwell tweet. Sam stated on the RR this morning that he thinks that Michigan will end up taking 24 commits this year, and that he thinks 2 more will be in the fold either before, or directly following the Spring Game. Let the speculation begin . . .
I'll say Treadwell, and Levenberry Jr.
Dark horse: Poggi

I don't get why are we beliving him. I say there'll be atleast 4before/during Spring Ball
Sam was just answering a question and said 25 times it was only a guess.
"Sam Webb: 2 more commits before/during Spring game weekend" The title certainly not saying it's a guess. And FYI, I don't follow him 24/7.
I agree with ya.

Or Gedeon and Treadwell. Or Treadwell and Isaac. I think my first guess is the most likely though.

I agree with this. Gedeon because obviously. Isaac is a good chance since he took his USC visit, and that's what a lot of people said he was waiting for. It's possible he didn't like everything he heard there, it was too different, or he just didn't want to be that far away from home/wants his family to be able to come visit him and see his games. Also, weather sucked in LA over the weekend, so he might not have been very impressed with the weather, since I think it was better in the Midwest.
Treadwell would be a good possibility as well.

he hated airports. It's either or an innocent statement or we can read far too in to it and conclude that he doesn't enjoy travelling by plane, knows that to go to USC he'd have to travel by plane all the time, therefore subtly hinting that USC is just too far away from home, and that he'll go to Michigan. Personally, I think it was just an innocent statement, but that's no fun.
I think Treadwell is a slight possibility too, but I now remember that he's pretty serious about wanting to take his time. I forgot about Poggi as well, like the OP said. Poggi wanted to commit by the end of April, if I remember correctly.

That's reading the tea leaves. Not that I'm against your optimism.

You are assuming that driving is his preferred alternative to flying. You are incorrect. He would actually rather travel by horseback, which Trojans were known to do. #hesgoingtousc

Of improper equine benefits. They'll give him Traveler. Pac-12 schools will be happy to see him go.
Treadwell plans to visit 4 schools (Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Michigan) around April 5th. He has said he wants to visit more after that. I would really be surprised if it is Treadwell. Not saying that kids don't change their mind or anything, but I think his committment to Michigan will come later.
Further speculation would say that it would be more enticing for him to commit if Isaac does. That would be a nice set of playmakers. So I'm hoping for a linebacker and an Isaac committment.
I have a feeling that Treadwell is more like Tuley-Tilman is respect to yes he would like to take visits and see other schools but I truly believes he wants to goto UM. It may take another WR commiting for him to also commit to secure his spot, similar to LTT committing when we had the run on OL committing. Pure guess though

When is the spring game exactly?

I say Gedeon and Poggi
March 26th, 2012 at 12:11 PM ^
I'm going to wager at least one of the two will be a linebacker (Gedeon or Levenberry). As for the second, I'll go with Isaac.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:12 PM ^
Well, commits come in pairs around here, so of course two players would commit. Duh.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:19 PM ^
Isaac and Treadwell. Levenberry was pretty adament about not commiting until much later. And he has a spot held for him regardless doesn't he?
March 26th, 2012 at 12:21 PM ^
Stefon Diggs and Bryce Brown.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:23 PM ^
seriously? still?
Is there an optional filter for blocking comments that mention Diggs, Rojo, Kozan, etc etc?
I'm just glad we've moved on from Demetrius Hart. I'll take these references all day over mention of Hart . . .
Who?

What kind of a shot do we have at Devin Butler?
March 26th, 2012 at 12:50 PM ^
We have a decent shot, but I don't know if it's overwhelming. He has lots of good options. But I think he's waiting to discuss his favorites, so I'm not sure anyone knows a whole lot.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:48 PM ^
And Alex Kozan, it might have been filled with more win.

I decided to reach into the way-back machine.
March 26th, 2012 at 12:50 PM ^
...and a reach.
Go WABAC
That's way back...

Gedeon and Isaac are my guesses. Gedeon because all hints point to it and Isaac because now that he's taken his USC visit I think he's ready to commit to us. I also think Poggi commits to us before the end of that month. Treadwell is harder to read, he's publicly tweeting hints about committing here, but he sounded serious about taking his time.

Grass reflects green light, but is actually everything but green. Or something like that. I'm not sure, I'm a classics major.
