So, uh, Armani Reeves then? How about that Armani Reeves?
January 11th, 2012 at 12:31 PM ^
I'm now also guessing that he was the secret visitor earlier this week, and might have assured us he's in.
Edit: Guess I should have looked at other board topics before posting this.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:44 PM ^
Guess you shouldn't have two accounts either, troll.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:36 AM ^
....Damn.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:38 AM ^
Here's a pick me up for those who need it:
Sam Grant is visiting, per TomVH
Lots of rumblings at Rivals about the liklihood of Josh Garnett committing.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:41 AM ^
Garnett will be at Stanford this weekend.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:45 AM ^
If stanford doesn't overwhelm him, he commits here?
January 11th, 2012 at 11:48 AM ^
Full disclosure - it is coming from some guy who had correctly predicted a handful of other commits based on his "source". One of the mods then backed him up as saying something to the effect of "we're hearing some positive things too, more to come in the ITF tomorrow".
[Edit - Also to the guy who said I add nothing to this site, two middle fingers to you, buddy]
January 11th, 2012 at 11:57 AM ^
FWIW I was just commenting that he will be out at Stanford this weekend not saying that your post was incorrect. Rumors have been circulating for a while now that Michigan is in good position to land Garnett.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
but simply regurgitating something that you read behind a paywall at Rivals is considered not adding anything.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:05 PM ^
Thank you, prick of the day. Much appreciated. Then I guess 99% of the people here add nothing. Internet comments section rejoice!
January 11th, 2012 at 12:14 PM ^
You're a rather endearing individual.
January 11th, 2012 at 1:19 PM ^
was a bit crass, his point is well made. A few of the members of this board are extremely pretentious in regards to content. And while I'm all for integrity of the board and not posting a bunch of BS, some people just need to relax...
January 11th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
PROTIP: Getting angry about "sniping" on this board and then taking swipes at others isn't the best way to make friends around here.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:21 PM ^
Mr Rager indeed.
Thanks for the info though, upvoted your post
January 11th, 2012 at 1:13 PM ^
I know I'm #1.
Congrats on "adding something," I have no problem with those kinds of posts, really its cool.
Its just that your a dick to everyone. Take (Score: -1 Flaimbait) as a hint that people don't like the way you talk to them, then maybe your comments will actually be, um, read.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
Is Grant visiting UM this weekend?
If true, I'd imagine he's doing so in order to commit in person.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:39 AM ^
Any word on whether he's cooling on Michigan or Michigan cooling on him? I've heard the latter but there wasn't much substance behind it..
January 11th, 2012 at 11:43 AM ^
the latter. But that depends on whether you believe Tom Beaver.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:40 AM ^
After watching him play this past weekend it is understandable why the coaches may have cooled on him as a CB. We are looking for a true cover CB and not a project there, he just looked like he was out of place on many of the plays. Unfortunate as it may be I wish him the best where ever he ends up.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:41 AM ^
This is a bit strange. If he is a project, let's get him in and there can a discussion with him on his future position. Give it a chance, and wait and see. Bosco puts out some prospects, and we are recruiting guys for next year. This has to hurt that.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:42 AM ^
Without intimate details of what goes on behind the scenes, the recruitment of Yuri Wright seem to be the most perplexing to me. Here's a guy who claims to be a lifelong Wolverine fan, hasn't committed to anyone, is highly rated, has an offer for a position of constant need, and yet...........nothin. I don't get it.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:45 AM ^
This guy is what? One of the top five rated corners? A lifelong Michigan fan? But he played poorly in an all-star game? And now he isn't coming for a visit? Too weird.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:20 PM ^
even prior to the army game, there were rumors the coaches were cooling on him for either football (projecting as a safety) or non-football reasons.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
This may be an indication of how the coaches feel about Armani Reeves, but I think it's also an indication of Michigan's thoughts on Wright as a project and as an individual. Wright has some baggage/character questions.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
His character may be the subject of debate, but the one thing that cannot be denied is that he has an incredible eyebrow stylist.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:21 PM ^
that Notre Dame is rolling out for its 2012 game with USC. According to an adidas press release; "Lighter, and bearing the famed three-stripes logo, these eyebrows will reduce glare and promote weight-reduction by eliminating the need for heavy eyeblack patches bearing biblical verses which Notre Dame never cared too much about unless they were written in Latin. 'Authentic' versions of the tribute eyebrows can be purchased by fans through authorized adidas retailers."

I can't wait to see Nike's Pro Combat mustache designs.
January 11th, 2012 at 2:41 PM ^
Best post on this thread, by far. Haha.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:10 PM ^
I cannot speak of Wright's character, but to say he is well spoken would be an outright lie.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:24 PM ^
Yeah, I saw a video on Rivals when he was being interviewed. He did not sound well spoken at all. He actually seemed to be struggling getting sentences together.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:46 PM ^
You two have something in common.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:59 PM ^
He has a speech impediment. That's not what I'm talking about, nor should it be a concern or a point of emphasis. I know some stupid people who speak just fine, and I know some smart people who stutter.
There are other concerns.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:25 PM ^
don't we all
January 11th, 2012 at 11:42 AM ^
We have probably found a better use for that pick.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:43 AM ^
..is banking it for next year. There are not many options left on the table.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:46 AM ^
I don't know that I would say there are not many options left perhaps not as big name of ones as we would hope, but if the past years have taught us anything depth is never a bad thing.
I expect a couple of names to pop up here shortly that will be new to the recruiting scene for this years class.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:42 PM ^
Very true, I am sure a name unknown to us will pop up and remember the **** system is any thing but perfect for predicting a recruit's success at the next level. The optimist in me says it is because they want to use that offer on Demar Dorsey, but he is a safety so that doesn't work.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:14 PM ^
When in doubt, go to the snake oil.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:44 AM ^
I hope TomVH and Chris Balas revoke your subscriptions for posting this stuff! IT'S SECRET!
Then again, maybe they need to learn a little bit about the efficient market hypothesis before they go on asking subscribers to keep information secret.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:46 AM ^
is still a legally recognized principle, so it's not ridiculous.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:53 AM ^
I'm thinking those guys need to take a Securities Regulation class. Btw, remind me what case popularized the use of the efficient market hypothesis (to establish damages?) for a 10b5 charge?
January 11th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
the efficient market hypothesis is a load of crap, but whatever.
The point is it's not absurd for news entities (even ones whose "news" is where 18 year old kids are going to play football) to expect at least a short window where they're allowed to reap the benefits of their work.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
I remember...it's Basic v Levinson. Law skools is usefull in daley life.
January 11th, 2012 at 1:13 PM ^
Given that no user in a forum is in competition with the pay sites or profits in any way from sharing the information it's quite a reach. If Brian encouraged people to post premium content it might be different, but even then any claim would be constrained by fair use. So yeah, I think it's ridiculoous.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:46 AM ^
Joking aside the OP could have posted a link.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:49 AM ^
was flagged as trolling. I thought it was pretty funny.
January 11th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
It was public domain once Sam Webb declared on radio this morning, as far as I am concerned.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:47 AM ^
Shumate going Irish didn't help our cause. ND would have to be the overwhelming favorite at this point.
