You beat me too it!

They have ZERO yards passing and they are in the 4th quarter and WINNING! There O and D lines look impressive. We need to keep improving in the trenches and get Denard going if we are going to win the rivalry game.
Keep working!
Go Blue!

OSU is pitching a shut out on the road against a ranked team, and we get embarrassed by little brother. Horrible day so far.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:11 PM ^
I agree that we need to improve our OL. Msu showed that if you blitz this OL they are going to have problems.
October 15th, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^
else ready to re-evaluate the Nov. 26th showdown? Ohio has displayed incredible resiliency in coming back from offensive ineptness vs. Miami and MSU and the massive choke vs. Huskers.

I don't feel good about it at all. Thinking about posting my tickets on Stubhub, I seriously don't think I could mentally deal with seeing THIS osu team leave the Big House with another win, after the scandal and everything. The only thing that worries me more than the game is how my psyche would react after witnessing a loss in person, it would be absolutely devastating.

Go to the game and support your team. You'll be kicking yourself if we win and you're not there.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:10 PM ^
I'm the most neurotic Michigan fan on this board and I'm going to The Game. Don't let fear rule your life!
October 15th, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
I'll happily buy your tickets if you're indeed selling them.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
I'll keep you at the top of the list if that's what I end up doing. I'll be traveling home for Thanksgiving anyway, so it might turn into a "why not, I'll just go super drunk" kind of deal.
October 15th, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
I would buy and walk from california for the tickets or wait until i move back to michigan ...but seriously i want to go to the game!
October 15th, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
Going to watch Oregon-ASU tonight and sigh forlornly at what could have been for us...then I'm just going to drink and cry with 'Slippin' by DMX playing on repeat.
October 15th, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
I'm not watching this game but every time I turn to check out the score, the Buckeyes are even further ahead! What the...
The Illini must not be that good. They're at home, they barely beat Northwestern...well at least they better not be that good, I've been fantasizing about a Buckeye beatdown in November for a few weeks now.
October 15th, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
In spite of everything, OSU is actually undefeated in the Leaders Division.
October 15th, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
Doesn't matter, it's complete conference record that counts.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:04 PM ^
Wow. Didn't see OSU dominating Illinois like this, especially Illinois' inability to score.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
illinois just lost it right there with that interception.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
LoL Zook, take the points or did you not know the score again?
October 15th, 2011 at 6:23 PM ^
WHY U NO GO FOR FG RIGHT THERE??
October 15th, 2011 at 6:23 PM ^
is an absolutely horrible football coach.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
The announcer's reaction was pretty good: "I can't even begin...to comprehend...the decision....process there"
October 15th, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
But then I remembered just jow bad Zooker is.
He truly is terrible.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
I can understand Zook's decision. Getting the TD is the tougher of the two scores, and requires more time. If you kick the FG and then recover the onside kick, you've got to go about 60 yards in a minute. If you can get the TD there, then you only need to gain 30-40 yards on your next possession. I don't think it's nearly the obvious call the announcers made it out to be.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
You take the points when you can get them. Period.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
I think this is a case where the conventional wisdom ("take the points") can be foolhardy.
In this situation, you've got to score a TD at some point. Attempting a field goal just delays the inevitable. If you're Illinois, you might not drive that deep in OSU territory again, so you may as well try to get the TD on that possession. The key: It's much easier to get in FG range than it is to actually score a TD, so you may as well put off the easier score (the FG) until later.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
I actually had the same thought, given how close they were to the endzone. It's much easier to get in field goal range after an onside kick with a minute left.

44-15 NIU
October 15th, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
Wooooow. 494 rushing yards and the game isn't even over yet. Jaw is on the floor reading that stat.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:45 PM ^
*DAN Herron.
Brandon Herron plays for the good guys, yo!
October 15th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
My Big bad. Ugh.
October 15th, 2011 at 7:18 PM ^
All that's left now in the B1G that's undefeated in Wisconsin. And I ope they take Dantonio to the woodshed next week.
Although, their defense scares me, because I think their D is better than Sparty's. However, I don't know how much of Sparty's defensive swagger was from being jacked playing at home. As long as we can contain Boom and Braxton, we should be able to win The Game.
But who cares about that right now? Time to focus on Danny Hope and co.
