OT - Robert Horry's daughter passes away
As I approach my 1st Father's Day this story really hit me. It made me realize just how forutnate I truly am. I hope each of you feel the same way after reading it, and give your loved ones an extra when they get home tonight
Lastly, don't forget to reach out to your Dad's and Grandfather's this weekend to let them know you love and appreciate them as you never know what tomorrow may bring.
/sappy stuff over. Please return to your regularly scheduled OSU hilarity
RIP Young Ashlynn. Such a sad story, but uplifting at the same time. The Horry's helped this disease become recognized and named, which will lead to more research and hopefully a treatment.
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but while kinda accurate, it seems like kind of a cold name for something that kills people.

But this sucks. My sympathy to the Horry family.
Geesh, as the father of a 7 week old also looking forward to my first fathers day, this is unimaginable to me. Makes waking up at 3 am to change his diapers seem a lot better.
Its always terrible to see someone lose a love one who was so young. It just doesent seem just. The Horrys will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thoughts and prayers
That is the worst kind of loss. I hope/pray he and everyone else who has lost their child to things like this can find strength.
I couldnt imagine losing one of my kids. I dont know how i could recover from something like that.
i couldn't imagine having to deal with the death of a child....guh
when you lose a child who has a terminal condition. In my work with hospice and on the palliative unit, parents feel so much guilt when they are relieved their child's suffering comes to an end. It sounds as if Ashlynn was able to be happy, which is all you can hope for as a father. The Horrys will be in my prayers.
I have a 3 year old, and I think about these worst case scenarios way too much. My prayers and love to Big Shot Rob and his family. For HLprn302: God bless you for doing hospice work. That stuff is not easy.
As a father I hate to see anyone have to go through losing a child. Thoughts and prayers to Horry and his family!
God bless Ashlynn...
