• Ed isn't allowed to forget he took McQuaid over Matthews
• The State game: Tip of cap to Winston. State got Michigan into the usage pattern (e.g. X threes) they desired. Michigan lost their minds.
• Jordan Morgan was a little salty and Brian agrees.
• Managing the guys
• Beilein wasn't going to throw his guys under the bus, but there were things they worked on in practice that the guys just didn't execute
• Craig runs down the breakdowns from the 4 minutes when M was up six with the ball.
• The Poole talk: hopefully this was a wakeup call.
• Was Charles hurt? (Yes) because they haven't had the big lineup. Why not try Iggy at the 2?
• Castleton advocacy
• Is Penn State good?
• Nebraska: the difference with/without Copeland is huge.
• The Zion Cam: worse than the draft bar in the middle of a Michigan basketball game?
• Rather watch Bill Walton than Dick Vitale—at least there's some affableness to him being high all the time.

Yikes. Jordan Poole's defensive game against MSU left a lot to be desired:

That reel doesn't include a one-and-one Poole gave up to Henry by playing him too tight, as well.

While that's extremely disappointing Poole shut off Gabe Kalscheur, who was just 1/3 from deep in the prior game. It's not that he can't do it, it's that he's really inconsistent at both ends right now.

Iowa-Northwestern is the Having A Normal One Championship Of The World. Irate man yells thing!

Uh, wow. Iowa coach Fran McCaffrey was just screaming at an official walking down a hallway of Value City Arena. "You cheating motherfucker! You're a fucking disgrace!"

Irate man has been suspended for two games. Both McCaffrey and his son were called for technicals in a short span of time, thus setting the above off. Chris Holtmann got one for OSU as well. Nobody has seen fit to put video of the techs on the internet, which… why are we even here? If we're not going to get Zapruder takes on McCaffrey ejections?

Kind of a big transfer. Alex Hornibrook is gone from Wisconsin.

He entered the transfer portal so this isn't a retirement, but maybe Wisconsin wouldn't clear him after concussion issues? I don't think there's any way they would have processed the guy. Jack Coan averaged 5.5 YPC in about 100 attempts replacing him, and it felt worse than that to watch the guy. Wisconsin is bringing in Graham Mertz, who's about the top QB prospect they've ever recruited, but nobody's chasing off a senior returning starter for a true freshman who's just a real good prospect and not Trevor Lawrence.

2/24/2019 – Michigan 70, Michigan State 77 – 24-4, 13-4 Big Ten

DTE had trucks just sitting on the street yesterday in case the "bomb cyclone" that struck the area tore down a bunch of power lines. I put all the stuff that could blow away in the garage, and then I felt silly when it was just rather windy. I don't think the power went out much, if at all, in town.
