Obviously it's good money, but none of it is guaranteed. Brock Purdy signed for 4 yr(s) / $3,737,008. His signing bonus was $77,008. That's all he was owed had he been cut before the season.

Purdy, an obvious outlier, and he will undoubtedly get extended for big money also has received performance bonuses that essentially doubled his salary.

For comparison, the last pick of the 2023 NBA draft:

Chris Livingston signed a 4 year , $7,639,302 contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, including $3,011,420 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,909,826.

That's why as crazy as the tampering/portal/NIL situation is in CFB right now, I sorta get it.

9 Wolverines picked in the first 200 picks.  57 picks to go.

There are 6 Wolverines in ESPN's best 57 available, from Jaylen Harrell at #30 to Braiden McGregor at the cusp at 57.

Many of the current picks are coming from outside of the 57, so hopefully Nugent #83, Henderson #92 and/or Jones #95 get picked to help tie or break the record.

Should Eric All and Joe Milton being drafted count, maybe at a discount, toward trying to set the draft record? At this pace, we're gonna need help?

Don't think we're breaking the record.  I think only 3 more drafted.  CornJo, Harrell and Barrett.  I think Henderson and Barnhart have an outside shot.

Well even though they won’t break the record, all those teams were either in the playoff or just missed in Georgia and Oregon. So the correlation between draft picks and team success is incredibly strong and next time OSU fans bitch about sign stealing just present them this data.

Pretty sure Michigan was the only team to have a player drafted in each of the first 5 rounds. Somehow, we had nobody drafted in the 6th so the streak ended. Hopefully we see a bunch taken in the 7th.

Start of the 7th. 37 picks left, Michigan at 9.

Michigan is down to 4 of ESPN's best 37 available, with Barnhart #44, McGregor #48,  Nugent #71, Henderson #80, and Jones #83 outside of the top 37

Staee is tied with Texas A&M Commerce with one seventh rounder each.  Never heard of Texas A&M Commerce before let alone knew they had a football team.
